Guys in the novel they didn't even have sex. They just went to bed. I hate when they do that (I was even confused why they did it right after mc when through reliving trauma) the fact that this sex scene was pushed and it suddenly ended there makes me believe that this was dropped

Ugh. People did mention the rape in the beginning but also said that it became cute later on. Which is why I read this. I didn't realize the "cute"ness was literally the next few chapters. As in, they try to make us forget the rape because "oH tHEyrE sO cUtE"
Just because it's "accurate" to history, doesn't make it less disgusting. Imagine it was a little girl who "just became of age" and a dude 10 years older than her just came and had sex while she said no. Even if they're married, it's disgusting. But what really pisses me is that they try to brush it off and made the mc forgive him because of acorn jelly and a flower. I couldn't look at any of the smut scenes. Had to skim through it. Sucks, the plot seemed a bit interesting.
