Are you asking seriously or just wanna go back and forth? In a made up story, it's easier to be flexible with your emotions as you read because you KNOW it isn't real. In this circumstance, I can acknowledge the mc's trauma and still find his behaviour frustrating. Realistically, you could also apply this to real life ig. It's that simple
