yall are so.... snowflakey, hes not doing anything against the dudes wishes. yea he he pulled the "you will do anything I say" but its not like the trope is new, and quite fairly he is one of the more mundane male leads. just cause man has kinks that lean towards bdsm doesnt mean hes toxic. he deadass said "im not into weird stuff like rape" he knows bad people like that exist and admits that those things are going too far.
this is a really dumb argument and I hope you get a reality check. At this point, you're just purposely trying to paint people who likes things in FICTION, in a bad light. You're making the point of "games makes kids violent", but maybe you are this type. Fiction is a breakaway from reality, what stories people read, watch or consume does not reflect real life. A small majority do, perhaps, like YOU. but that's a YOU problem, not ours, so maybe you help yourself out with that.
it was something called an EXAMPLE. and wait till you see fiction can be harmful irl! that wasnt even my point tho. if you read a piece of media and what you took away from it was “women are lesser than men” then wouldnt you be sexist? it doesnt matter if you got that thought from an in real life situation or from a piece of fictional media. similarly, the og comment is calling people “snowflakey” for not condoning manipulative relationships. fiction has nothing to do with it, thats THEIR OWN opinion that they drew from that media. heres another example in case youre just that braindead: an ml rapes the mc in a comic. someone goes to the comments and defends the rapist. does that not show their stupidity? or does it not matter for you because they drew that from a fictional work?
Media isn't always fictional, and it's not about supporting it. So no, it's not like saying that. It's more like saying 'I like r@pe ONLY under the circumstances of it being completely fake and all parties are consenting to partake in the act.' You know consensual-non-consent exists? Even outside of fiction? It's called R@pe Roleplay, and there's always a safe-word, or safe-system of some sort, set up beforehand.
When it comes to fictional media, the consent is 'I want to draw/write this' and 'I want to read/look at this' with the knowledge that it is FAKE AND FICTIONAL. Safe-wording is deciding you don't want to read/look at it anymore and backing out. Deciding, 'okay, yeah, no, this makes me uncomfortable' so you stop reading/looking.
You've gotta separate fiction from reality. Life simply does not operate that way, and you're only hurting yourself in the long run.
No, the only reason it seems they're 'defending' the rapist, is because their really just defending their enjoyment of the *fictional* media they consume when other people hate on the people who LIKE the story, or even like the character. But people are allowed to like villains and horrible people in fictional media. It doesn't mean they condone the actions of that character if they were a real person. The fictional realm is a place for people to explore the dark parts of reality without the repercussions of if those things happened in real life.
It's a form of coping at times, and a way of venting intrusive thoughts, or simply indulging in their darker fantasies that they understand and know to be a horrible thing in real life. Something they don't desire to do in real life but are drawn by the idea and concept of it. Think horror movies, violent video games- WAR VIDEO GAMES, and ect. In the realm of fiction, we can indulge in exploring the darker sides of reality, and even better come to terms with them
Whoops, I kind of just repeated what you said in my both of my replies to this person, but this is 100% true, and so real. I guess there's just no use in arguing with them. Let them believe what they want, only harms themselves, really. Like you said, it's THEIR problem.
There's not even any evidence behind fictional media making people more prone to acting out the fictional literacy they consume in a real situation. Very few exceptions, but not enough to make it a rule or evidence. If the world is going to shit, it's doing so by itself lol.
considering how you havent replied to me you probably know you are in the wrong by now. I am very sorry to hear about your past situation and genuinely hope justice will serve those men. HOWEVER nowhere do i support or defend rape or any type of real life situation. I was simply talking about how people in the comments acted as if this male lead was the worst there ever was when you clearly read he has a conscious and can tell right from wrong unlike some other fucked up male leads in BL. I will no longer reply to you and will mute this thread. I hope you can let this go now.
Okay, so obviously me and you have very different experiences in life (though I have my own experience with SA, I guess you 'win' in the whose got it worse category), and you have a very set view on these things that no amount of explanation, anecdotes, or even evidence is gonna persuade or even get you to understand my point (cause you really seem to have misunderstood me). Lolicon isn't something I defended, nor did I even defend any actual rapist or imply that I do. If you got that from anything I said, you need some genuine, therapeutic help that I hope you're already getting.
I don't think you'll see my point on these things (and I'm just gonna ignore the 'preferences just being a word mlm women fetishizers use' in your other reply to me, because that's headache inducing and- yeah, don't agree with you there, but go off I guess) and that's fine.
I'mma just go about my merry way while you think whatever you want about me because that's your problem, not mine. I know who I am, the morals I have, and if you wanna make assumptions about me, that affects only you, and not me.
I hope your day goes well though. As well as it can go! And I swear, I'm not being sarcastic, I genuinely hope your day goes smoothly today, tomorrow, and even the next day and that you're able to handle the downs in life with an abundance of support or being surrounded by those who love you. Uhm, sorry if you don't have that though... I know not everyone is fortunate enough to have that. I hope you find someone if you don't. It's so much harder, heavier, and traumatic when you don't...
Anyways, consider this an overall reply to all your other replies to me.
I realize it wasn't just Lolicon you mentioned, but rape material too to get your point across, and I probably misunderstood you in some ways, but you def misunderstood me too. I'm just, yeah, not gonna really try arguing, debating, or really try to reach any sort on consensus with this one other than agreeing to disagree. Or, you hate my guts and we stop talking. Cause I don't really think I have the grace, intellect, or delicateness to carry this conversation on in a fitting way. Even if I had others things to say, just gonna leave it here.
oohlala is oh lala hot
