I genuinely loved the prince as an antagonist. he gave such a new view on the 'jealous prince' trope by implying he 'loved' the way the 2nd male lead who smiled with so much love at someone else. when the relationship ended he got mad at geum-hoo for taking away his smile. the prince's story was so complex with his own feelings and actions working against each other, which made an amazing character.
for the '2nd male lead' as much as he was an ex... I feel for him. he had no choice but to give up his love and even tho geum-hoo only speaks of abandonment, I feel like it goes much deeper than that. if we were to read the story from the others point of view we would probably have rooted for their love the way we did for geum-hoo now that he is with beom. in the end I wished we had seen him with a happy ending in the extra's too rather than the sad reality of the past that we were left with.
seeing eunho and soon get married in the extra's was such a happy moment. knowing that it their past live eunho didnt really have a solid goodbye with anyone he cared for, only a small goodbye with his brother, as he went with the westerners made me so sad. it warmed my heart when I saw how close he was with his brother in this lifetime. the fact that soon and eunho most likely never got to see each other again in the past and the sacrifices eunho had to go through... im genuinely happy for their ending.
geum-hoo being the one to remember their past life completely and looking for beom not knowing what he would find was such an amazing part of the extra's. for beom to be the one to wish for their next live to be filled with love and having geum-hoo be the one to make that wish a reality even when beom no longer remembered, I CRIED! how our poor boy broke down when beom did start to remember, scared on how the other would react to the cruel facts of their past live... oh how I wish for them to be happy in their 3rd, 4th and 5th life as well!!
in the end BWAT gave us another banger manhwa to read and I genuinely cannot give this anything less than a 5/5
