Sorry but Nanjo doesn’t know Mokyeon’s sad backstory. In his perspective, Mokyeon was a guy blackmailing him, and Nanjo only recently started becoming friendlier towards Mokyeon until he pulled that stunt in front of Sunhwa. Absolutely valid for him to beat up the man that he dubiously consented to sex with under an agreement that Mokyeon kept breaking.
Still, it sucks for Mokyeon and shows how he’s unable to express what he wants properly, because his life was hell and he didn’t get a proper upbringing.
Honestly this could’ve been worse. MC could’ve been a Confederate Also I’m pretty sure that other guy was being sarcastic but we’ll see next chapter.
Nobody fucking cares about what the characters have to say. We are talking about the author here in what world was it appropriate for her to approve that kind of dialogue I am your humble slave coming out of a Native Americans mouth like seriously. And you’re over here talking about it could’ve been worse. She could’ve been a confederate baby his family own slaves both the north and the south were extremely racist during the antebellum. and the Jim Crow era. Please don’t piss me off before I report your account.
Reread my comment. I said we don’t know what the new guy meant, because he might just be being sarcastic, so I’ll wait until next week to reserve my judgment. I’m interested to see how this work will handle post-Civil War racism because Walk on Water did tackle Asian discrimination pretty decently. Feel free to report my comment anytime you want, I don’t care.
It’s interesting how the fans here in mangago only focus on the pairings because if you go to Rdibooks and read the reviews of KR natives, even the shippers of the endgame ship are mad at the author for rushing the story and making the endgame development half-baked. Actual criticism beyond just who won the ship war, and many of them hoping that for Doyak’s next work they’ll be an artist with a separate writer.

It's not surprising that many korean readers are disappointed. I have X acc about manhwa with many korean mutuals (with some popular manhwa they talk bout everyday). but many of them already abandoned this manhwa. wet sand was trending in 2022, but after that many Korean readers have already left. that's why there are just more inter readers on ridi and sns author.
I’m not surprised, especially when the manhwa was marketed as a noir to KR readers who are very familiar with Korean’s brand of noir cinema. I don’t doubt many of them feel that even if the endgame is what Doyak wanted, the execution was lacking in the stakes and consequences that is prominent in the genre.
Yeah, that was their expectation about this noir manhwa genre. Even many Korean readers supported TJ and the ending already with TJ, most of them were still disappointed. Korean readers criticize the writing was really bad after season 3 and the climax it's the ending, they said the author failed and couldn't seem to show that TJ was the ML bcs lack of execution of writing
So many popular BL series struggle with finishing their story, so it’s truly remarkable that Indomitable Champion of all works ended up sticking the landing with the side story. This was such a satisfying read, and I really applaud the author for being a talented writer who knows when to hold back on their massively freaky fetishes for the sake of the narrative.

It’s kinda funny to see a split-personality romance where the split personalities are gonna win. Usually they merge into one person so the love interest can be with them. Instead, Jaheon wants his harem back lmao
Absolutely Ruined Love has the same motive
