The kdrama plot "I will pay you to leave my son" is finally here askskskk
Jokes aside, I think it's baffling how Woo Jinpil makes all these assumptions that Jinhyeong keeps inferior people close to him because he thinks Jinhyeong can feel superior among them. That seems like a projection of his own thoughts rather than an active observation of his son. Does he not realize that his son is drawn to these people because they are authentic and confident in their own skin?
I think it's actually contrary to his belief and that Jinhyeong is drawn to people like Songrik and Uyun because they offer a space for Jinhyeong to be himself, and admiring them for being true to who they are. Jinhyeong wants to be "free" like them.
Woo Jinpil is an arrogant person who lives in a dog eats world mindset when all this time he's the one training the dogs to attack others. He's never had to be the one struggling to get to the top because he already is there. He disguises prejudice as discipline, he thinks restricting your child's interest and natural self is love and his "it's the best for you" mentality towards Jinhyeong is nothing but a leash. Never love.
When stories explore the concept of death, especially if it's that span of time between consciousness and the end, it always gets me. Seeing a character's past regrets and them learning to not fear death and instead accept it joyfully feels so surreal in a way that it's a reminder that it will happen to us one day.
I still feel fear death, but reading this reminds me that there is also a certainty of life before that final moment. And it's up to us whether we want to live it to the fullest.
My partner is so much like Uyun, I am afraid of the day that my partner will get angry at me like this. It's hot as an outsider perspective for Uyun to do that but, if you apply it to your own relationship it feels sad knowing that you broke your partner's trust enough for them to get mad like that (-----___-----)
This was a splendid manga. Both characters are extremely lovable and I love the eccentric nature of Tohma and Fujimi's infectious penchant for brutality. What I didn't like is the smoking bit, SMOKING CAUSES LUNG DISEASES AND POSSIBLE MULTIPLE ORGAN DAMAGE. I hope Tohma finds success in stopping Fujimi with his smoking habit(he doesn't need to smoke to appear cool, he is already charming just as he is.)
NO TO SMOKING, PRO LUNG STANCE SINCE 2009

I thought my partner was going bonkers with what she's been sharing with me about Hyunjae and Yoojin. Are we sure this isn't a fanfic?? Oh my goodness
