I started this thinking it was probably just gonna be all smutty nonsense but I’m on chapter 20 now and holy cow the story is actually really interesting and freaking hilarious?? Plus the sex scene are insanely amazing (of course)?!?! I’m so glad I started reading this!!
I don’t usually read omega verse because I find some of the gender issues mentally draining (it just makes me think about real life) and I dislike how so many of the writers just brush off the gender issues of that world or treat it purely as a plot device. This story deeply explores the ramifications of an unequal world from the perspective of this particular omega and I find it refreshing. The writer isn’t scared to say how bad it is and how complicated it is when the victim fights back and eventually becomes the oppressor. It’s interesting
This manhwa will always be my number one favorite, I am just so in love with everything about this and I think I’ve laughed at least once for every chapter lol (except during the super angsty stuff with his old high school friend, who everyone is saying might make a comeback and I really freaking hope so but it makes me nervous too!!)
Anyways, I really wanna see more of that one guy who had a crush on everyone messing around with the annoying guy who’s in the lab (forgot both of their names lol). I got WAY too excited after he screamed at the guy to eat his ass and he ACTUALLY DID! Omg if they become a thing at some point that would make my freaking life bro.
Is this worth the read? Just started it and went to read the comments but there’s a lot of mixed reviews despite the title having 9.3 stars. Should I read it? I’ll take spoilers if it’s needed to know if it’s worth reading. Thanks
I would honestly say no. The first season is excellent, but it quickly becomes clear that the author had no idea where to bring the concepts. The plot meanders, the characters are poorly written and continually act in ways that are nonsensical given the supposed stakes of the situation, complex interpersonal issues are tied up with the power of friendship, and years of abuse is trivialized. Also the magic system is super dumb and there are a ton of side characters that don't seem to have a genuine purpose.
Also tries to give the mom reasoning in the final act but it falls flat because the author is genuinely just very bad at writing.

Oh hell fucking yeah omg
