So I’m trynna rebuild my list, I’m trying to find that weird little yaoi where the mc is a sex education teacher or something and the ml is a dragon that hatched from his egg because the mc came on it… there’s also a bunch of other love interests like a guy who is dragon slayer and a wolf they found lurking outside the castle. Please help ┗( T﹏T )┛
Been a user since 2019, saddened to see my 500+ mangas just gone. I was lucky to have a gut feeling several months ago to start tagging SOME of my favorite mangas, yet there were still many I hadn’t tagged. Suddenly the passion and enthusiasm I had for reading is gone in a single day, and I can’t hate but feel frustration at the website for not working towards at least reassuring us or admitting our lists are gone. Not one official word. Truly sad. I do not wish to listen to people’s words of mouth, I simply wish they’d tell us something! Anything!
100%, honestly the admins lack of response is so frustrating. i hate how they're acting like this is just some minor inconvenience for some of their users, like i had 700+ in my read list and all but 30 of them were erased. i feel very similar to you, ive lost almost all motivation to keep reading, all in a single night.
Tbh, Dorohedoro doesn't really spoon-feed you its plot. That's something I noticed after like 5 re-reads. I keep finding new things I missed. You really have to pay attention to all the characters and the small, minor details that might seem insignificant. Everything connects, even the ending that so many people dislike.
I personally love the ending. It's chaotic, perfect for a show that keeps telling you everything is lost in chaos. All driven by centuries of seeking vengeance, from all sides, Kaiman's, the En family's, and Holes. In the end, there was never truly a bad guy, just an outdated racist viewpoint from Holey-Kun with a whole lot of corruption in a world where it's "kill or be killed," mostly unintentionally encouraged by the En family, (and most definitely intentionally encouraged by the Devils) and therefore forcing the cross-eyes to further expand its secretly equally corrupt influence because those with no power are basically useless to the higher-ups, leaving them no choice but to join one side. It's a comparison to real life. The corrupt wealthy will lead people to either join them or rebel with violence until they die.
And I haven't even ranted about the characters, they are just so amazingly written that I won't even touch on it because it should be obvious just how cool they all are, down to every side character.
Anyway, if anyone here expects to just read this in passing in between breaks, I wouldn't recommend it. It's not your typical manga that holds your hand and leads you through its slow-paced plot so you can understand. Sit down, have a cup of tea, read, and do not shut your brain off. You will need to process each page and remember minor lines, because it will make much more sense in later volumes. Trust me, it's so worth it, coming from a Dorohedoro fan of 6 years. *nerd emoji*
