Whoever tagged this story as yaoi was seriously high. This is barely a romance. Now, 24 episodes later, it's getting closer to being a shounen-ai. I was completely deceived. I love this author's other story, so I thought this one would be just as good. It's not a bad story, but it doesn't have anything very elaborate either. The fact that the character is a vampire changes absolutely nothing in the story. Nothing is really explored. I thought we'd see more development in whatever it was, but even their romance, which is the central point of the story, hasn't progressed yet. We know nothing about anything in 24 episodes. The vampire society, the protagonists' friends, their families, their jobs or college... Nothing! I confess that this left me quite disappointed. I'll put this aside for a year, or until I finish it, and then maybe I'll finish reading it and see if anything has been worked on by then or not.

To be fair, maybe the author didn't start with smut scenes since the top was still a high school student in season 1. And I think this story has progressed with the romance especially at the beach scene, it doesn't have to be physical but the bottom consoling him about his family passing and you could see the kid starts to think of him as a pillar after that parents day chapter. And the cherry blossom lunch scene was suoer cute and romantic too!!

I don't actually mind that there aren't any sex scenes. Actually, I would find it quite strange if that were the case, really. Because of the age difference and everything else. It's just funny that they tagged this story as yaoi. There might be something more later, but then it would be something like Cherry Blossom After Winter, so I'd be like a shounen-ai until that happens I guess. What really upset me was how everything seems without any development. But judging by how many people disliked my comment, I guess that's just my opinion, haha. I just feel like their romance is very slow and almost nonexistent so far. It seems like we're going somewhere now, but that's already 24 episodes bruh. If it had some other focus, maybe I wouldn't feel this way. Because it's okay to be a slow burn, but then give me something besides their romance to entertain me. Having only romance as the focus and nothing else, and even that doesn't work well, so it just gets kind of boring, I think. But as I said, it's not a bad story. I thought it was cute. But I couldn't see them as romantically until episode 24, when we finally get some real display of affection from the other side of the relationship and not just one side crush from a teen to an adult. I just think they seem more like father and son than truly romantic most of the time, hahaha. Anyways, just what I think.

I mean yaoi means that there’s gonna be homosexual shit involved and that’s what this story is. It definitely is a slow burn but the first season has more of a cozy and careful plot which I really enjoyed (and I’m guessing a lot of other people also enjoyed). I don’t think the author intended for anyone to believe that Changdeok was in any way romantically interested in Jongwu at the start, like you said little dude was a minor. It’s also a big bonus that the art is gorgeous

I totaly agree with you, it lakes of development, we don't know anything about them, and they don't have deep conversations. But i keep reading to know where this story goes and how the author is gonna make them fall in love with each other (especially the older one)

I keep wondering if Teach gets shot and is left for dead, Guwon will be so terrified of losing him that he'll begin to understand the value of life. He clearly acts this way because he doesn't understand how awful his actions are, simply because he doesn't understand human connection, since he's never truly had one (until now). So I wonder if, after this, he won't start questioning the very actions he's justified until now. Furthermore, I also hope that being so close to death will help Jiwon recover some of those memories that he can't remember. We need to see the truth behind this unreliable narrator.
