I dunno if this manga is on this website since I originally read it on manga rock but I'm giving it a go.

A girl(highschooler I think) fights mutant plants in order to cook them to feed her family. I remember some old man teaching her how to kill them and stuff. I also remember that one of the plant monster she fought was an eggplant

Hello, I don't remember much of the manga but I do remember that the uke likes the voice of this one radio talker and then finds the brother of that radio talkers and then the brother falls in love with the uke. Sorry if this sounds too vague btw.
