In Ch 12 when he helps the sis up from the floor I wanted to smack him. That made me so irritated and he still tried to be like “it was only cause I cared for you” like I’m sorry I have anger issues so he coulda just left her and she’d still get up on her own. She has 2 hands and feet for a reason. When you fall for our mc duke i hope it hurts when she tells you she’s leaving yo azz even tho ik y’all end up together in the end lmfao
I like the whole action storyline stuff not the romance…. AND WHY ISNT THAT OTHER GUY ( I forgot his name) THE ONE WHO’S VP FOR HIS COMPANY HIS FRIEND?? HE LITERALLY FOUGHT ANOTHER S RANK HUNTER FOR THAT MAN Is it bc he sees him as family or just as someone who clings to him??? Like that also irked me. How is she his only friend when that other guy been there from the start-

I think we can all agree that it was sad on both ends. Ml had to do what he needed in order to save the lives of hundreds or thousands in that city bc of the corrupted nobles and MC was just born in an unfortunate position as she was a daughter of said nobles and didn’t know they were corrupted and had to face the same fate as them even if she did nothing bc she blamed herself for being ignorant of the situation. I’d like to think that another life they could’ve had a more peaceful and happy love story. (I’m hoping they end up together in the end for this one but who knows, some authors like to hurt me )
