my rant from a while back got deleted after the wipe that happened last year, but I won't forget this slop. Just know I think the author is legitimately dull and if you find it difficult or impossible to write about the after effects of a violent rape and the toll it will have on a person, don't write the rape at all. You don't get to write something that vile and tragic and then jump back into a sweet, healthy romance with no time or insight at all. I'm not asking for a redemption arc or a split or death. Just please stop being a lazy writer.

Oh and fyi, most of these stories aren’t finished, so I don’t know if they have a happy ending or not. Even if they do, they’re already tragedy-coded soooo
Oh and the hearts stand for their hair colors (notice how there’s so many yellows and blacks? Because those couples ALWAYS have at least ONE who was abused as a child in some way or is simply traumatized)
