A) A symbiotic relationship between crows and humans in a supernatural, drug-enhanced prison
B) Someone approximating hair follicles via their throat??? (WE’RE NOT OVERLOOKING THAT!)
C) Dante STILL applying outside logic to these mfs (give it a rest king)
D) Dante serving face when he’s not tweaking
E) Immediate distinguishable (so far) talent use from Dante. That crow plot twist was even crazier than it talking the first time (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I would’ve preferred some of the sex chapters/scenes to be replaced with plot and events for when Chase finds out he mated Josh, and Pete’s other dad. It’s too good of a plot and would feel unexplored if it ended after the big reveals.
I hate that Dante and Hairen think of 182 as nothing more than a strong simpleton sometimes. It’s so clear he’s unsocialized and learning emotional intelligence as they hang out. 182’s clearly been deprived of anything but needs, so of course he indulges in pleasantries when available. They fail to understand he’s survived in Fogland this long being exactly as he is. Even so, he’s remarkably intelligent. When he was trying to land punches on the fuzzy shoulder, he was gathering data and doubling back, recalculating, and testing theories.
Chase (eventually) is gonna be one lucky mf. Josh is hot doing absolutely nothing, but militant level training in physical combat and weaponry before AND after giving birth is just ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
As Beyoncé once said, “Strong enough to bear the children, then get back to business.” ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I did some research on the purpose of hounds originally, and the tale of Sisyphus (in Greek Mythology). Somehow, I’m getting maze runner vibes from all of this. This town seems like a controlled group, theoretically Sisyphus (Guwon’s) boulder to maintain.
Hounds historically have been used to hunt, gather, hold and maintain livestock or prey. This goes along with Guwons admission of seeing the townspeople as pets. A hound is a loyal servant to Guwon, and is entirely different than a pet to him (townspeople).
I believe this is a controlled or isolated incident, I’m veering towards a government controlled one. I do remember the apocalyptic outbreak outside the town, and I wonder if mc (I forgot his name) is a straggler of sorts. I’m spitballing here, but I imagine the town is basically a development maintained by the hounds that was built to keep Sisyphus (Guwon) entertained or no longer lonely as he continues his endless punishment.
My favorite part has genuinely been watching people fall in love with Kim Dokja’s battle prowess, wit, remarkable adaptability, and loyalty. To see it all unfold back into him is so beautiful…
That lovable idiot sees this all, and STILL thinks he deserves to be nothing but his companions’ scapegoat whenever a conflict arises.
Ugh, I love him so bad.
The overpowered, yet curious stray (Mr. 182). He lets Dante get away with a lot of shit fr, the bath, the hooting and hollering, and the dumb crap he did in the beginning. I can’t get into the ship jargon —that child to adult line is questionable, idk if it’s an intellectual gap due to inaccessibility or age— but they’re so funny.
Back to the stray thing though, I think it’s fitting with 182. I think it’s telling how he sticks to titles for everyone (teacher, doctor, etc.,) I wonder it has to do with his conditioned childhood?
Lmk if anyone has any recs similar to this.
The condition he had before he went into the prison, I’d like to say had nothing to do with the fog (originally). Since he had to identify others with something besides facial features, he see’s someone’s (inner?) state of being/identity. The moon face has been too consistent when referring to his brother; in a family portrait from young Dante, himself and his parents have faces, his brother didn’t. So that condition of his doesn’t work on every face, but often enough. I think him having only one blue eye furthers this, with him going beyond a person’s exterior, seeing their inner sense of self that explains the person’s behavior and identity.
I think 182 is that destined ascended being, but he can only become so with Dante & Hairen’s help.
BUT WHERE IS MY SON?! EVERYTIME I TURN AROUND, LEE GILYOUNG HAS BEEN SLIGHTED FOR PLOT PURPOSES.
You think that the boy you left survived by being warm in a palace in which other royals wanted him dead?
The concept of Dokja asking the people that the scenarios are made to entertain regardless of the cost of incarnations/civilians is insane
He definitely has the exact opposite type as his sister. He’s clearly into Chase bcs he’s gives as much as he takes and vice versa (the punches especially). That alone is insane. But add me to Josh’s roster
I had plausible deniability when everyone mentioned the strong family aspect that this presents, and how it should stay that way and not become romantic. Chp 45 made me facepalm bc Sejin I can even turn the other cheek when you say it yourself
I do that one Frank Ocean vocal cry in “Bad religion” every time a homophobic or general pos talks about queer spaces and people (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Not Biyoo getting caught up in their split custody battle
Persephone and Hades whenever Kim Dokja is involved: *Casually drops or offers a gem* “Do what you will with this information.” ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Ik this is action, but it KILLS me the way Kim Dokja poses Why is his feet always shoulder length apart, hands in his pockets, facing the conveniently timed breeze???
Andrew reminds me of Hozier’s It will come back. Especially with the introvert x extrovert thing going on. Andrew is like a starved man who’s had a taste wants to keep that ‘high’ of their relationship; I love it. Def listen to that song if you haven’t, u won’t regret it.
If anybody is unfortunate enough to transmigrate here, do me a favor and give Jigu a FIRM smack to the back of his head. I will forever be in your debt (▰˘◡˘▰)
