the author drawing that knight, the MC falsely accused of rape with curly hair similar to an Afro and dark skin, after he got beat up in a few random panels. the 'joke' is not funny and has gone on too long. the humor is odd and damaging (ch 10) or even the flippant remarks at slavery from the lead in her fantasy medieval world but joking poor hygiene was the worst thing, in earlier chapters. the constant portrayal of the West v. East stereotypes. I digress. I really don't like this comic.

But even if Cain isn’t black I honestly don’t think the author was trying to be “racist.” I’ve seen a lot of anime and mangas where none dark skinned characters have curly or frizzed up hair after some type of explosion. Also him being accused of rape had nothing to do with his skin at all sooo… I can’t see how this is in any way racist. He was just caught in a sus moment and MC lied on him to get out of a beating

literally where is this manga even going anymore. It's just another flashback showing how warped Krishima is. which was known. It's been hinted everyone in the Yakuza space in this comic is off. But it's just delaying the plot again to explain why did yoshino specifically get the same vibes from her kidnapper and him. and what's their connection. just waiting and waiting for the big plot twist...

This flashback actually gives us a clearer insight on his background as well as the truth behind the death of Yoshino’s parents. There were speculations about whether he Karishima had something to do with it because he knew more than he let on and we now know for sure what’s what. Plus like @plinky25 said above me, he’s injured so it’s a good way for readers to gre the time pass before he actually wakes up.
kinda tasty tbh
