In the last few chapters, Melissa has been annoying me a little. It might just be because I am puppy shrimp, but I don´t like the way she has been thinking about ppl. She is upset that Nine is overprotective of her, which I understand and agree that we should address the "weak lady" trope, but didn't she do the same the first time she met Nine? She was thinking that he was weak and that he was someone she could protect (like he was, but I think the principle is similar). I also feel like she doesn't take these people as people, but more as just characters and tropes and that they don´t have actual depth, which is the case when u read the book, but not when they actually become real people. Idk just the way she said Nine couldn´t be the main lead, it felt like she was looking down on him.
In the end, I wish we actually got more out of that sword fighting lesson. I think that if we ended up with smth like if u wanna be rly good sword woman u need to find a balance between brutal strength and technique. I think it would bring smth to her character like not everything can be solved the way u do things now and u need to adapt.
Nine has already seen how strong she doesn’t need someone constantly worrying about her. Her saying he can’t be the main lead is in a literal sense as in the book he was no where mentioned.
I don´t like the mindset that I can see all over the internet, but especially hereof: he´s too hot and broken to be bad. Like geez, he killed thousands of innocent people on daily basics, but he is a poor boy because someone wants to take him out. God, what is wrong with you. The fact that he is doing this, because he was raped, doesn´t mean he shouldn´t be punished for his crimes. He shouldn´t lead Egypt in any way. For the sake of humanity, someone should better kick him from that throne.
Also, from a story writing perspective, this story is kinda mess. We have no idea what Horus wants or why he wants to help Seth, so I´m not really interested in this whole shitshow of a conflict. The only reason why I´m still here is for Anubis, I want him to kick some ass. If the story won´t to start making some progress fast, I don´t think it will be interesting from a retrospective.

I think that everyone that would see a rapist of their partner wouldn´t be all good. I know I would go on a killing spree. Kyujin sees someone that tried to hurt him, broke my loved one leg, and destroyed his dreams in sport, and RAPE him. I personally wanted to almost vomit the moment I saw Jihyun there. If he changed all good, but just the fact he tried to see him again doesn't seem to me like he changed much. If the author will put Chiwo and Jihyun together than she is a fcking coward and this will drop from my fav comic to my "this shit destroyed my faith in humanity" list.

I really don't understand how people can forget and forgive rape. Seriously what the fuck is on these people's heads?!?!? This asshole doesn't deserve a second chance, he should be in jail paying for the crimes he committed, but instead he's portrayed as a poor guy, sad and alone because his friend abandoned him. What the FUCK?!?!? He's not the victim, he's the aggressor, he is disgusting, hateful. I'm venting my hatred here, not just for him but for all the other rapists romanticized in these stories. My heart hurts every time I see how they are idolized, sometimes I wonder if it is worth having some faith in humanity.
