Ima delete this later but now this whole loop thing starts to make sense why Jinwoo at first tried to kill Guwon in his sleep, he had those “dreams” the town people telling him it’s all his fault when reality it was just his past memories of other times, the time in chapter 35 he says “why does this all feel so familiar” & “I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this before…Have I?” Which was piles of bodies, when Guwon didn’t even mind if Jinwoo killed him, & when Guwon still loved Jinwoo when he betrayed. I feel like I got everything
Idk I’ll probably delete this later so ima just put this out.
There was a video where someone said that Jinwoo does indeed chop off his finger because they said that there was an official art made by the author where he has a stitch on his ring finger, which indicates he does chop off the finger but then it gets sewn back on. Plus, there is even a stitch on his arm too. Some people said that it’s referencing Guwon stitches but idk it makes sense to me if that art was hinting that Jinwoo does chop off his finger. I hope I’m making sense…
Guys, I have a theory. (I might delete it later) but here’s my theory:
I think the plan to take down Guwon actually works, but it ends up putting the townspeople in danger. In chapter 14, Jinwoo has that dream where the townspeople say, “Heo Jinwoo. this is all your fault, you did this, in the end, we all died because of you.” They basically blame him. Then on chapter 28, Kang Gyeongha says, “But the real issue is the hounds. Even if we manage to take Guwon Down, we’d still have to fight them…And If that happens, I don’t think most of the townspeople would survive.” So maybe this is foreshadowing that the plan will succeed in taking down Guwon, but it backfires because the hounds find out about it. That leads to the townspeople dying. But I also think the hounds might find out about this plan through Jinwoo joining the supply team. Basically, one of the hounds picks up on why Jinwoo joined. And I also don’t believe Guwon dies, someone captures him or lock him up somewhere.
I hope this makes sense guys…

Guys hear me out! In Greek Mythology, the story of Sisyphus says there is no way for him to stop or break the chain. Here’s My theory for this manhwa: First, the author stated that this story is unrequited love, so the only way to break this loop between these two is by Jinwoo to love Guwon back. Think about it the piles of bodies shown are due to Jinwoo following the same path, which was loving Guwon and then falling out of love. Therefore, to break the entire loop, is by Jinwoo accepting to love Guwon back.
(Waited a whole week to post this)
Tbh this is the only thing that makes sense rn
