Tbh I prefer yaoi over yuri as a general catagory for reading even as a woman who likes women because so much yuri is made for men. I feel less inclined to read anything targeted towards men because it is so different from my experiences with women. reply
I really like romance, and tbh I just got really tired of straight romance. It is all very boring and cliché. I also am bi, and first delved into GL, and found BL after I got tired of reading lesbian stuff that was definitely not made for women. Personally as a victim of s3xu4l 4ss4ult one of the easiest ways for me to cope with it was seeing characters deal with trauma and eventually overcome it.
