Any story where are the author took a lot of time and care with the writing, has a good romance and has characters that I will love?

I’ve asked a similar question recently but, I’m looking for a story where it is simply really well written and the author takes time to develop their story and their characters. It doesn’t have to be smut but it helps. I don’t like when the smut is rapey; I like when there’s mutual built up tension between the characters.
A couple of examples of comics that check those boxes for me:

Painter of the night (even though it’s very rapey, it’s just soooo we’ll written)

Tale of the yellow dragon (it’s rly rly good)
Inner beauty (the relationship progressed kind of quickly n weirdly but it’s a beautiful story but it’s shounen ai)
Walk on water (the way the story is told is super good)
Love nest (it’s a manga but it’s amazing)
Dance with the devil (The first story couple is rly cute)
I also liked raising a bat but there’s a lot of people who hate the Mc so it’s kinda controversial ig
