I think you're exaggerating a little. Don't forget that she has mental problems because of what Pei Ziheng did to her. Her mind is in total chaos and until she can handle it, she will not be able to respond to Li Lei's feelings either.

No, I'm with you OP. I sympathize that she has had a lot of trauma but what makes a MC a heroine is her ability to rise above it and not become abusive like those who were to her. Her treatment of Li Lei is emotional abuse. He doesn't know if he's coming or going and after all he's done for her saving her over and over and over and over and over.... (You get the picture). She is becoming more and more unlikable as a character. I've read the spoilers in the comments and don't like where this is going. I hate feeling like she is digging her own grave and has it coming because no one deserves abuse... but ..... not sure I can keep reading this.

Emotionnal abuse ? It's not her fault if she doesn't like him. And it's not like she want to depend of him. On the contrary she want to be free.

He is the one who want to be with her (even if she doens't like him and he know it), and he still want to be with her... because h'es possessive.

He's helping her, but she didn't asked for it.
He's buying her things thaht she dosen't want to receive.
He's asking her a lot of questions but never listen to whant she say (in short : he heard what he want).

Oh yeah that manager is awesome! Love her most! But your last comment applies to her too. Regardless of reason she agreed to be with him. But she's not putting forth anything tho she said she would try. If she doesn't want to be with him she should leave. Make a clean break while it can be amicable. What she is doing is stringing him along. She isn't clear one way or other. I have been in this kind of relationship. 9 months of hell that took years to get over and I still can't trust fully 15 years later. But I've never lost compassion for others. Actually that's wrong. I do feel sorry for her but can't excuse her behaviour towards Li Lei. Just because you have trauma doesn't mean you can treat others poorly. There really is no excuse for bad manners.

And, yes, her trauma explain a lot. That's the principle of a trauma. There are things you just CAN'T do. Li Lei isn't far from taking advantage of it. Each time she try to leave he does everthing to make her change her mind. And that public annoucement ? It's not romantic, it's a trap. She is already not very free in her head and Li Lei uses this to keep her.

It seems you compare yourself to him but remeber one with : Li Lei ISN'T in love with her. This isn't love when you doesn't take in count want the other want (and even if she is a little lost, she is very clear about some things and he just dosen't care and want things to go HIS way).

its called trauma. Remember, she's a abuse victim. Many victims of abuse tend to make excuses and run back to their abuser. By pushing her down, and comforting her while she was at her lowest, pei zhizhang had manipulated her. please take that into consideration. Trauma cant be cured overnight. Its not that shes a bad character, shes quite good if you remember she had trauma. If she were to get over it in a day, that wouldnt be trauma, and the main plot would be thrown away.
