The writing got so repetitive at the end and I hate that she chose Josh, I get it, green flag and handsome annd what not, it’s understandable that anyone in their right mind in reality would choose him but this is fictional!
She loved Aidan first, and to not even give him chance to redeem himself after coming back from a parting that wasn’t even his choice was so bad???? and unnecessary?????? It felt like a repeat of what happens with Lia and that too felt kind of weird to me — why make two characters when both of their stories are parallel to each other ???? IT MADE NO SENSE!!! I even cried when I read about how Aidan kept trying to communicate with her but to no avail, i Do understand that time and situational presence is often a core need for love but it just felt shallow to me ??? like Lili didn’t even give too much thought and just decided it was love at the first instance of being swayed by Josh’s feelings.
She said that Josh never overstepped her boundaries but AIDAN DIDN’T EITHER ? He literally pretended to betray his country all for her but still he was basically sidelined through no fault of his own — the perfect person but not enough time and you expect me to like Josh and her spending the rest of their lives together with no complaints!?? UGHhhhhh such a boring ass bs ending man istfg — Josh wasn’t even involved that much in the childhood plotline, he didn’t help Lili get over her trauma, technically that was all Josh and Luca so this felt like betrayal from the author tbvh ; a last second plot twist — not to mention the moment i realised she was gonna chose Josh the novel became boring as all hell. Why have a reverse harem novel with an interesting ML set up early on only to discard him and chose the most boring optionnnn i don’t understandddd.
anyways this whole rant just means that I love Aidan and he deserves the entire world.( ̄へ ̄)
well it doesn't mean that you loved someone first then you cant loved another anymore. although i understand your stance becuz i love aiden so much. he was there when lili was at her lowest due to that kidnapping & other things in childhood. but if we just take a step back and look at lili's eyes, josh was there when she lost almost all she cared about. despite this being fictional, stories like this tend to draw stuff from reality. if i were lili, i would also fall for josh. altho i would like to refute the statement of you saying she never gave aiden a chance to redeem himself. i think what lili felt was justified. a person is generally very emotional when they're deeply hurt. lili put effort on trying to restore what they once had but at this point it was already josh occupying her heart. if aiden was given a chance just like what he said in the story, then i guess the outcome would've been different. he might've ended up with lili becuz they really seemed to be for each other.
but things happened and aiden just happened to pull the short end of the stick. it was really a shame but i think they're in better places now. aiden learned to not be swayed and mold himself from other people's words (like how he tried to be the man lili told him to be) and he learned that they are more things in the world than beeing lili as his apple of his eye.
wow i really typed this long
So many people love yichan and sure,, im glad that he got a good ending and that he finally got his head out of his ass to understand that she LOVED him and wanted him to be a human the entire time but I HATE HIM SO MUCH IT MADE ME GO INSANE why the fuck would you go and do that to the kid of someone you loved wholeheartedly!?! why did you think it will lessen your guilt RAFGGHHH anyways this was cute the main couple was a little annoying but adorable and Dowoon kept his gorgeous long hair so 4/5 def

seeing all the spoilers here I’m thinking of this manga as the real ending for my own sanity where the two of them live happily ever after in the tower and Rei still has his magic and the king dies on the way or sumn
Lmao last sentence is so funny
Ehhh, the novel is definitely better. It's not as dark as everyone makes it out to be, it's actually pretty light-hearted and most of the characters are fairly likeable. Most of them. Mireille deserved better than some freak prince who hides in bushes when she talks to other men (Like Albert? Really? He doesn't like guys or girls, he dgaf about anyone except Rei, everyone knows that). No one had any control over what happened in the beginning, not even the King or the Oracle, but they did have full control over what they did once the prophecy was fulfilled, and they all chose without hesitation to help Rei live as comfortably as possible and make the best of the situation.
I love the art and inclusion of Albert's pov chapter in this manga but having the King lie to Rei about *maybe* being able to go home was a bad choice, and writing out Rei's cat Miko was a straight up a hate crime I will not forgive them for. He loved and missed both Cha-Cha and Miko equally and there was no reason to exclude her like that (˘╥︹╥˘)
