I've said here before that I'm not that fond of omegaverse, but I've found interest on unconventional pairings, alpha x alpha or alpha x beta. Do you guys have any suggestions? :D
http://www.mangago.me/home/mangalist/164842/ This is a list I made it includes every omegaverse that has been translated (at least that I am aware of) I know that there are a couple of stories that the omega tops or that the pairing is beta x omega

Anyone else who's not really that much of a fan of omegaverse?
i hate it, there is so much rape and people being hatefull...
I find it interesting, I guess. Not really a fan, but it's interesting. It's supposed to be that humans evolved to the point that sex doesn't matter and that basically everyone can bear children. Yet at the same time omegas go into heat and if an alpha rapes them it's not their fault because hormones or whatever. It's supposed to be evolved, but that is so primitive and animalistic. It's disturbing.
You know its like any other writing trope it can be pulled off well or it can suck. To be fair 3/4 of the ones I've read HAVE sucked...and I haven't really liked ANY of the manga that were omegaverse. One I like the one with the kid, it's super cute. But otherwise...nah. And tbh I'm not sure I've found any I do like, I'm just saying 3/4 cause I haven't read ALL the omegaverse stuff :D OHHHH there was a wattpad series I kinda like with omegaverse type, but the author puts her own spin and its the AUTHOR, not the omegaverse, that gets the credit there.
I don't like it either. Having the guys able to get pregnant just makes me..D': I don't like it. At all. It just makes me feel like they aren't guys. Like it's just a flat chested girl. To each their own tho.
50/50 with you. the uke is always so weak during his heat and he's vulnerable to basically any alpha and that alpha only wants him cuz of the pheromone (no love. no good). especially the omegaverse that has the uke taken by another alpha first (not neck bite. just sex) and the seme alpha comes in later.
however, omegaverse is also so good if the uke and seme are just there for each other you know? like seme alpha is there to protect uke during his heat. and if they get pregs then that's even better. but i haven't read one before with pregnancy.
but i guess you can't expect a perfect story. there's gotta be some problems in there.
I'm just gonna reply to you guys in one comment haha.
I agree with it being so primitive and animalistic. I like to see the process of the characters fall in love and the whole designation alpha and omega thing just ruins it for me. Most of the omegaverses I've read shows that at the start, the attraction is primarily based on their disposition and barely about their character.
Not that I have anything against omegaverse, it's a nice concept but it's just not for me.
I think I've read most of the fluffy yaoi and shounen-ai stories in here. Do you guys have any suggestions for unpopular but really fluffy or heart-warming yaoi and shounen-ai stories? Thanks! <3
This ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/shiro_no_koro/
So I'm seeing a lot of Yuri on Ice posts here, is the show shounen-ai or just huge fanservice? I'm a bit interested.
I wouldn't really call it 'fanservice". And, as kmt132 and Nekuchan, pointed out, it's implied to be shounen ai. However, I think the lack of the tag sort of highlights that the possible shounen ai bits aren't the main focus of this anime. I'd say it's an anime about figure skating and the redemption and continued growth of a young competitive male figure skater with the added bonus of watching two men develop a meaningful, complex, natural, possibly romantic relationship. The figure skating scenes are beautiful and well animated and the anime treats the development of male-male romantic relationships and feelings as something natural; not something that needs to be expressly mentioned or a spotlight shined on it because it's two men. It also avoids a lot of the tropes we usually see in yaoi and shounen ai. I highly recommend it.
Sorry, you asked specific questions, but I wrote a freaking review. ( ̄∇ ̄") But really, though, I suggest giving it a shot. After the last episode, I can't stop smiling! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Surprisingly it's neither! It's a sports anime where character development just happens to include a complex, warm, human relationship between two men. Unlike most yaoi and shounen-ai, when there's a confession... it's no big deal, it's just an evolution of the relationship. There's (imo) a kiss.... but it's less romantic than one of the mc attempting a special kind of jump during competition in a routine. It's a story of an interesting bond and the things that drive / inspire both individuals. Despite not being a romance anime it's probably the most romantic anime I've seen in a really long time?!
It's true that there's no label, dates or kissing; however, it's NOT romance. The main focus is on Yuri's growth as a skater, and his relationship with Victor is more of a side story. It's not a 'pure' shonen-ai, but it contains shonen-ai elements as in you can tell that their relationship isn't merely platonic.
I need some fluffy yaoi/shounen-ai to heal my soul. I don't even care anymore if I've already read it or not lol
i'm sorryyyy hahaha. here is my go-to eye cleanse list
