At first, i was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of chapters (98 chapters is considered alot) and was wondering what else the content gonna be other than mc writing fanfic, I'm prepared to drop this if the story gonna filled with stupid drama and angst thats gonna ruin the main couple relationship (I'm traumatized reading other BL stupid drama in manhwa where the main couple literally only have they happy moment in side story, bc the main story filled with stupid ass drama that its painful to read) . but I'm glad its not going in that direction, both mc and ml is likeable and they're sweet to each other, so its feels nice to read when the drama focused on others and not involve in ruining main couple relationship (eg breakup arc or extreme arguing arc).
People might or might not noticed it but the art is changing. I personally like the early art style (chapter 1 to 40 i think) where the eyes not overly large, different face shape. the new art style looking way to cartoonize or anime-ish (as in the eyes too large, reminding me of Rumiko Takahashi Ranma series). i don't hate the new art artyle (its very cute AS and memorable, it has its own style), but its bother me a lil bit now that I've been expose to early art style. i wouldn't be as bothered if the art style stay anime-ish since the very beginning. its just a nitpick on my part.

the story is sweet, charming and fun to read although not that great.

i finished reading this despite difficulty in trying to finish it. after mc reject ml (which is the start of season 2) i pretty much stop giving a fuck on reading because of how stupid the drama have become.
look, I'm not a hardass when it comes to shipping 2nd male lead with mc. BUT its a different story when the main ML is likeable, caring and in love with mc. obvious that will not change my shipping suddenly just bc 2nd ml is getting more screentime. I will always prioritize main pairing UNLESS the main ML an asshole toxic ass, i will ship 2nd ML without a doubt. so I'm not happy at all the whole time I'm reading this. mostly because of how mc handle things. infact i just wish ML (woohyuk) can just not love mc too much, i want him to give up on mc tbh, so this part also annoyed be a bit. the reason for my rating is the fact that thus is a an indirectly love triangle bs. anything love triangle will automatically made me dislike a series no matter how good the story is. i can't say the story of this is good, its mostly just stressing me out, how can i say its good. the whole damn drama is just so annoying. if i have to be completely honest, there's alot of things i can pick on MC. first and most obvious is the fact he leading producer lee on. he likes woohyuk, already reject him bc of his "problem", spend time with lee and kiss him many times too, while in actually he didn't reciprocate lee feeling. hurting both ML. you might not remember this, mc did using both ML for this competition. for Hyunho (idk if the cat name is correct).
speaking of cat, here's another thing. I'm a cat person, i have 5 cats at home. MC doing this for the cat, even having trouble to have a meal for himself bc every money spent on the cat. the cat has a disease and sick that required him to be sent for check up often, which required alot of money. this is just my personal opinion, if it were me, if its to the point of making myself in debt, not eating, overall causing me trouble and worry which could lead in my mental health decline, I'll have to look for someone I know who is in no trouble financially and overall kinda rich and love cat, and let them have my precious baby cat because it's better to let someone who can take care of cat financially and giving them love as much as i do. accept the fact that you cannot afford to take care of the cat and let the cat be in a better hands.

note to self: the main couple is entertaining and an idiot, the only time we'll see them become an idiot couple is in the side story. the rest of season 2 is annoying bc of the love triangle. it's fine to re-read but what's the point if season 2 is not to my liking.

its really good. its been awhile since I've read any psychological story. although the ending is fitting, but its also underwhelming. must've been because i want to see how their life after, but then again, it wouldn't fitting for the whole vibe if the author show a "normal" slice of life. this whole damn manhwa has been a mind game.

note:
the official translation side story is the shounen ai version, unfortunately they didn't translate the yaoi version. yes there is yaoi version.

to those who wondering about the side couple (brother Hyesung and Taeyang), fhere's an extra note at the end of the 14 chapters side story. She said she'll be back with "Between the Comet and the Sun", which is a story of those 2. Idk if it'll be a separate series or continuing the side stories format because author giving a specific title for them. Also yes, there's a 14 chapters explicit yaoi side story of the main couple, which is not translated. the extra note is release at the end of the year 2023, the author said the "see you again next year", that'd mean either 2025-2026 for this next couple. Would be nice if someone pick it up. if you're wondering as to "who is the top or bottom in this couple?" this is only fully based on my speculation from the vibe they're giving, Hyesung probably the top. Although I really hate to speculate or deciding top or bottom because I'm a switch couple connoisseur, so deciding this is not really my cup of tea. even if they'll go the other way around, different from my speculation, its something I'm most welcome because I like surprised.

Now, onto my review of this manhwa, first of all, its quite impressive that this is the author first BL ever, not first manhwa, but first BL. Her first manhwa is a hetero romance. Its a well done job.
This manhwa will be in my top 10 favorite. Reason why is because of how wholesome it is. Not gonna lie, while reading, I thought "any second now there might be annoying angst or drama coming along" BUT low and behold, there's none. Even the conflict between Woon and his mother is not such a big deal, because the mother is not exactly evil or antagonistic (if you were to compare it to other antagonist in BL). So reading a manhwa like this is such a surprised to me because manhwa tend to exaggerated every little drama and dragged it out as much as possible, which upset me most of the time. I'm trying not to generalize, but I did, south korean really love their drama especially if its make you upset and unhappy. You can imagine my surprise reading a MANHWA that is lack on those. Its a hidden gem, I dare say.

before Jihan found out about Jae face, ngl in my mind i was like "istg if he fall because of Jae face, I'm not gonna be very amused". BUT it didn't happen. and Jihan worried about it and confuse himself and want to prove that he didn't fall for Jae because of his face. but now, it just left us reader to freakin wonder, "then when the heck did he fall for Jae and why?" reason being for this question is because for the whole 30 chapters, there is not a slight scenario showing Jihan like Jae, all he does is wanting to avoid it as much as possible when Jihan knew Jae has a crush on him. so as a reader, i was like "huh? so when is Jihan fall for Jae then?" i almost thought this manhwa is just a series of comedy and unrequited love. i guess that is all my criticism on this manhwa.

i love this. its easy to please me really, just made the couple mutually affectionate with each other (not that one sided pursue or one sided affection bs) and I'm instantly adding this to my favorite.

Regarding Seo Hun and that yellow hair (forgot his name) they really does acting insufferable at first. both of them. being rude and literally acting like a delinquent even though they're in college. So I was a bit in disbelief they both friends with Doyun. I am annoyed asf with their attitude. The yellow hair personality is I'd say quite immature overall, nothing else to it, while Seo Hun is not talkative type I thought he'd be decent, but the fact that he sided with yellow hair despite yellow hair being rude asf really irk me the most with Seo hun personality, it just made him look like a simp, if he were decent, he would at least scold or advice yellow hair, not just agreeing on whatever fuck up shit he's doing. thats the definition of a fucking simp. And jungwoo, this insane fuckoo, even despite everything that happen with his grandma, it doesn't excuse what he's done in the past, he's literally and potentially could destroy or even traumatize someone with the way he's acting. not even an exaggeration. he's just didn't realize the consequences, he should he considered lucky to have met Doyon and Jihun, if it were other people thats more brutal than Doyun, he might aswell lay in hospital bed. Overall, i like the way this author approach the issues with main characters towards all these problematic characters, despite them already apologize, the main characters doesn't necessarily will accept the apology. I don't see that often tbh. BUT what i do see often is that most main characters in BL always, ALWAYS forgive these scumbag. Like don't even, you know. don't forgive them. I've seen character worse than jungwoo and they were forgiven. I really mean ALOT of BL did this shit, forgiving the bad guys. i don't understand.

last 6 chapters (i think chapter 50-56) is about the yellow hair and seo hun. honestly, i couldn't care less about them, but i did read it anyway. their situation is obv different than mcs. so their way of approach to this new territory seems quite sad and pitiful almost, mostly Seo hun. though i do wonder, they've been bragging about how they've been close friends for almost 10 yrs (yellow hair is the one mostly brooding over it), yet just now yellow hair find seo hun have a cute side to him? and i can't rlly blame him tbh, seo hun pretty much non talkative type and just follow yellow hair around for that entire 10 yrs (he makes no effort whatsoever to make himself more stand out in the eyes on yellow hair), no wonder yellow hair feel very against and weirded out when he suddenly confess. the fact that yellow just realizing seo hun has a cute side..i was smh quite heavily

lastly, about jungwoo. i absolutely hate him for what he's done. BUT ugh..i hate to admit it, on chapter 57, i find him a bit adorable, dammit. i guess he's change for the better after all that happened. ppl deserve to be given a 2nd chance i guess. (but not criminals though, no 2nd chance for them).

this is really good. why am i just discovering this in 2024? I'm missing out. tbh, the aspect in this manhwa that made me like it alot is the MC and ML. the fact that they both show initiative, even better when the bottom show much more affection. I've read too much bl where its always the top who is showing too much affection that it seems one sided while the bottom always reject and act tsundere all the time. so yeah, love the story, characters and all these quirky and cute small mascot (taker and chief bird form, pea and the dog (forgot his name) ).
