Actually, I like that Nakyum's noona is being the voice of reason right now. Oftentimes, in stories like this where the MC is in an unhealthy relationship with the ML, the MC does not have a single friend with whom they can be vulnerable and who is actually looking out for their best interests. I hope Nakyum thinks really hard about what he wants out of his situation with Seungho, now that his noona is here offering him an out. He may or may not take her up on her offer. With domestic violence victims, they don't always take the first out that is available to them... Anyway, I still stand by my stance at this time that Seungho still has a long way to go before he is deserving of Nakyum. For someone who claims he has feelings for Nakyum, Seungho has treated Nakyum very, very cruelly. Not only that, he has demonstrated he can't protect Nakyum from the machinations of his previous lovers. Nakyum has no power or influence due to his status as a kiaseng, the lowest class of their society. If Seungho ever wants to keep him, he has to be able to keep him safe too( ̄へ ̄)

This is a good reminder that Seungho really did kidnap Nakyum, then held him basically hostage by threatening his life, then threatening the life of his teacher. Nakyum has been in survival mode since chapter 1. Kinda sad that the assassin of all people saw that: "...I pity you for suffering the whims of these nobles."

Are you here to save Nakyum?? Please say yes and, if so, please succeed ╥﹏╥

Like, sorry. I don't believe Nakuym would have gotten the doki-dokis for Seungho right away when he still has eyes for Jung In-Hun. Also, why would Nakyum need to discreetly sell his paintings for money if he's from a well-off family? He probably has an allowance, right? Or is his family actually financially struggling, but trying to keep up appearances? Anyway, under reversed circumstances, Nakyum would not willingly involve himself with Seungho either. The last scene is just setting up Nakyum to be blackmailed by Seungho, I can feel it.

i think nakyum just want to show his paintings but when the seller said that its not that good actually and pay a low money i think he is sad because the seller pay him with low money because his arts are not good:>

He’s not in love, he just wants to fuck him. It’s immediate sexual attraction not romantic interest, for now.

An easy read for anyone looking for a fluffy story with low drama. Also, I would like to thank the author for not villainizing Sunkyung when it would have been so easy to do so for extra drama.

Damn ikr she was so good throughout the story. Usually girl characters are made to hate

We're afforded a peek into Seungho's and Jihwa's past together. Apparently, they were both discovered to be gay from an early age. It is implied, however, that Jihwa overall fared better than Seungho for his sexual orientation. Whatever happened to Seungho, he developed hypersexual tendencies as a result and made a name for himself as a sexual fiend. It's one thing to sleep around discreetly with other men, but Seungho participated in orgies and maybe exhibitionist displays? (Seungho thighfcking Nakyum in the back of a tailor's shop may not have been his first time doing something of the sort -- considering his reputation, it's possible he has done more explicit things in a public setting before).

Per his report, Jihwa has been holding a candle for Seungho since they were both children. It was a point of pride for Jihwa early on in the story for knowing how best to turn on and please Seungho in bed. Jihwa feels like since he's known Seungho the longest, he knows Seungho the best. He's apparently been waiting for Seungho to one day settle down and see him as more than a fckbuddy/fwb. But while Jihwa could handle Seungho sleeping around with other men of nobility, he drew a hard line when Seungho started looking at Nakyum as a potential partner. The classism is strong among these men of nobility (Seungho, Jihwa, Min) -- enough that Jihwa and Min don't blink twice at planning to kill Nakyum for taking Seungho's attention and expecting Seungho to just return to them once Nakyum is dead. I'd feel bad for Jihwa, but his complete disregard for human life (even if it's a life that is worth "less" than his since he's a noble and Nakyum is of the lowest class in society) extinguished any pity I may have had for him -- especially since he wants to off Nakyum because he's jealous and hurt that Seungho won't reciprocate his feelings ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ

While class is definitely a factor for Jihwa, I suspect it has more to do with the fact Seungho is showing Nakyum special attention. He could deal with all the other random men because none of them meant anything to Seungho and Jihwa has remained his 'number one'.

But shortly after Nakyum arrives that all changes. Suddenly Seungho stops particating in orgies with the other nobles and rumours of a him having a finance or mistress start. Despite having a seemingly special relationship Seungho casts Jihwa aside the instant he complains about it.

I do feel bad for Jihwa but the way he is venting his hurt and frustration is not healthy. Hurting Nakyum is never going to bring Seungho back to him but he just can't see it

I'm glad Nakyum is keeping a level head about this. You know how sometimes you start to catch feelings for someone just because (you heard) they like you? Yeah, that's what Nakyum is feeling and he is very aware of it. (Also doesn't help that he's been sleeping with Seungho, dubious consent aside). I'm glad we're finally getting somewhere with Seungho's character development, but he has a long way to go before he is anywhere near deserving of Nakyum( ̄へ ̄)

hard agree!! but like;; hes on the right track i would say. now if he makes peace with whatever is bugging him inside first that would be another step towards that goal

    DeathbySarcasm October 22, 2020 9:27 pm

I think Seungho is showing great signs of development and I think you're right about Na-kyum. I think something weird might happen where Seungho kind of denies it and Na-kyum is hurt by the fact that it wasn't true and that leads to something but IDK.

So Seungho drugged Nakyum up, had his fckbuddies feel Nakyum up to prove to himself that he doesn't feel something for Nakyum, but only proved himself wrong in the end. Seungho likes to watch before he actually joins in -- the fact that he didn't get aroused and actually got upset was probably startling to him. After rereading, there is apparently some ~reason~ Seungho explicitly keeps up his reputation for sleeping around with men, but Nakyum has thrown a wrench in Seungho sleeping around. I'm worried that Nakyum is going to feel devastated after he sobers up. Under the influence, he seemed to like it when he was being felt up by Seungho's fckbuddies -- which will only prove Jung In-Hun right when he told Nakyum that he was born to be a prostitute. If Seungho is actually stressing about liking a "lowborn" like others are theorizing, he can take his classist crisis elsewhere (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 I'm here for Nakyum -- even if he turns out like every other MC who chooses the toxic first male lead┗( T﹏T )┛

    PeriodT September 27, 2020 4:17 am

Eh I don't think he's stressing about liking a lowborn specifically I think it's more like the thought of him actually caring about someone in general is scaring him

I know he's going to choose Yawhi, but Cain is so cute and nice. The supreme second male lead never gets chosen, the MC always chooses the toxic first lead who hurts them the most ヽ(`Д´)ノ
