Sometimes authors just gotta know where to end a story lmao. This was such a light read, now a character is acting totally out of character an running away from their years long relationship for six months? Over some “break up”? I get if this happened way earlier in the series when they were still rocky, but it’s too far atp for that. Some better drama would’ve been them taking in a friends kid in the near future and being first time parents or something lmao
Wdym pochita ate himself? What reason was there even for it? It was literally “welp, you were happier in squalor, denji and I’ve seen enough. Bye.” It reads more like he’s tired of denji’s shit/tired of being his “heart” that takes over during distress and just wants all the distress to be “over” by reverting Denji back to when he lived in squalor.
I don't think he’s tired; I think he wants to take on Denji's burden instead. He just wants Denji to be happy, and the only way to do that was to be eaten and free him. As long as Denji is Chainsaw Man, trouble will never let him go
i think pochitas trying to say that, yes denji was happy was certain points, but 1) denji always ultimately chooses hedonism because he will always want more and 2) as long as denji is 'chainsaw man' people will always go after him and destroy whatever happiness he's built. he's trying to free denji in that sense i think, but who knows tbh. next ch will make or break this theory
At the chapter where Juwon finally gets his turn, just for Taeha to meddle and burst into the room? Juwon hasn’t done anything manipulative, people are just used to the “kind friend becoming evil” trope that manhwas do so they have an Excuse as to why the second best lead doesn’t get love and so the chosen lead gets to save the ML.
Taeha is suck a cockblocker it’s pmo. Everything between Chuwon and Juwon is consensual. And the dynamics with the puppy one and Juwon are way more interesting than Taeha. He honestly could’ve been written out and this story would’ve been fine being a throuple between the puppy one and Juwon! Lmao. Just forcing him to be relevant.
Not that I dislike him, but he’s doing too much meddling. And his plots is always him “saving” chuwon but never any good interactions with chuwon outside of sex that makes him a better lead. Meanwhile Juwon gets cute interactions and went out with him and his baby brother, and the puppy one has a whole story of looking up to chuwon and is sweet. wtf is Taeha? Lmao

Some of Taeha’s interactions & some screentime feels like the author is shoving a piece of paper in my face. If in the recent chapters MC & Juwon are having an intimate moment and Taeha SOMEHOW intervenes, I will be soooo annoyed. I expect Taeha’s moments to be interrupted or shared with, with the other members to make it even.
I NEED to see MC & Juwon have their own separate private time together UNINTERRUPTED!!
Not really into reincarnation stories so stopped reading at a certain point. Thought it’d be a genuine thriller BL of a guy taking revenge for his dad and falling in love with a monster in the process. Also the flow wasn’t quite right for me? Felt like the author really wanted to draw expressions and key panels that they were excited about drawing more than writing and properly flowing the scenes together, because at some points I was going “wtf is happening?”. Art’s nice but it doesn’t do anything when I’m figuring out what the hell is happening and why one panel he’s talking normally to the vampire and the next panel he’s shouting and the text is in a spiraling black and red font lmao. Started feeling fever dreamy with good art.
Chapter 59 was horrific. And this ain’t even the worst?! Poor Hyena omfg. And I thought the first two were bad — they were literally petty Kdrama level compared to this (even though chihuahua girl helped!)
And the fact that hyena endured all of this because some of their parents were way more influential and powerful than her dad and could’ve gotten him murked if she told… just top level evil corruption. There was probably no way she could’ve survived this unless Karma went to her school and existed in her path (and on her side) BEFORE her death. Or they got a new victim OMFG.
I never like seeing characters suffer and usually want fade to black if they’re a villain because it’s still too much. But this girl? Karma needs to give her worse than the first two and serve 100x more damage than she did to Hyena.
Can you imagine what would be if the dad put karma on the side of his daughter as protection?
Okay this story is funny as fuck. Like, the extreme revenge turned me away a bit, but Karma’s dialogue with the bullies, their internal dialogues, and the chihuahua girl (bully with short hair and pulled bangs) kept making me laugh… I ended up getting attached to the chihuahua and was glad she lived — she’s so damn dumb and her interactions with karma were so silly at a point it started getting endearing!
Spoiler: Once rolled bangs chihuahua girl suffered enough I felt like it was okay to let her off the hook. She was a bully but I don’t think she was brutal enough to deserve death; her family’s fate was the brutal end. At least she gets the biggest change of a normal life into adulthood even with enormous debt lol. Her brother can suffer for eternity though. I’ll miss her; I wish she was taken in as another “daughter” by the director if he wasn’t so bent on revenge so I could keep seeing her interactions with karma lmao.
I keep saying every chapter that the content is too little per chapter and I should just let it pile up to binge, but I come back each update just to see if fujimoto put something that directly moves the plot along in each chapter that I don’t wanna miss out on. Like Nayuta’s “death”. So far since then I’ve just been feeling like there’s a lot of “wtf fujimoto” and “okay that was weird but let him cook” moments but not enough… payoff? And this chapter (193), there’s pretty big themes happening but it’s just depressing asf and doesn’t feel like we’re getting closer to any goal. Feels more like “a story meandering but in the style of fujimoto” than something really happening. Feel free to disagree idc and this comment section is actually hilarious and better with differing opinions than the fujimoto glazing elsewhere. Like even if this all leads up to something big and he’s actually cooking it still feels… meh.

Ikr, that too. I get that a story like this clearly thrives on conflict and chaos and themes, and fujimoto doesn’t hold back, but I genuinely think it would be better in part 2 if denji had more of a “slice of life” storyline before the chaos began where we saw him and nayuta way more involved in the plot without being wrecked and dunked on before “it” actually happened. Yeah we got it but not much lol. Still waiting for the payoff of this later half of part two because the author lost me. And waiting for a time when Denji’s character doesn’t completely circle back around to how he began, because it seems like so much of his struggle is him going back to square one despite all the people (mostly women because he distrusts men) constantly manipulating and harassing him. Like sir, even tho you’re a teen even teens learn what to watch out for after something happens for the eleventy-seventh time. You’re STILL falling for the same shit from part one???! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

The ending was rushed. So much was set up and established that this series felt like it was meant to be much longer than quick a 5-10ish chapter read. Sentarou’s career, the actual family bonding, more backstory about them and actual genuine love that’s better than whatever we got because it happened so fast and still feels superficial. It’s too quick. The pacing would work more for some quick lighthearted read of two already established guys in a relationship watching a kid for the weekend than two guys who still are trying to get together + angst + has their own motivations and goals + the kid is THEIRS to actually RAISE + whatever tf is up with Ririko and the backstory… too much for such little chapters! It left off so disappointing.
This could’ve easily been something that ended in about 40-50 chapters after a year or two of publishing than just 11!
omg this is exactly what i thought, it feels like half the manga was spent talking about touma’s work lol there was barely any family bonding or romantic moments between them
wtf where’s Aki? Reze? Angel? Hell kobini??? I feel like this would’ve been a great ending chapter if it were longer and contained as many character references and resolutions as possible to make sense of this new reality and give it a proper full circle ending. I love power but did Fujimoto think people ONLY liked her or something??
