Comparing what the two did, the old man and the ML: 1) at most the old man managed to grope MC's chest after choking him unconscious, 2) while something actually happens when ML rapes MC those 2-3 times. And the trigger warning only appeared on the groping old man

Then those rabid fans got mad and started harassing the author. Sending more explicit fan arts. Even accusing him of homophobia.

Why are people saying it's the 4th wall when nowhere in the novel it's implied that it's the 4th wall? There is actually a part where they hinted on why his face is blurred but it got ignored coz people already tunnel visioned on 4th wall.
Some novel readers just theorized that it is 4th wall early in the novel coz there's still no explanation, and it stuck until the end. They tunnel visioned on it so much that they ignored some indications debunking the 4th wall theory.

The 4th wall weakened/turned off completely many times but the blur is still there. Some readers actually questioned if the blur will disappear coz 4th wall turned off, but later they got shocked/confused coz the blur is still there. Even the characters themselves didn't react to Dokja's face after the 4th wall turned off. This got ignored coz people still zeroed in on 4th wall.
Another thing that got ignored is the clear hint at the end on why Dokja's face was blurred. Han suyeong and the others want to exact revenge on Dokja so they decided to write him as ugly when they're making the novel. Given the novel's theme, they wrote him as ugly so the universe/starstream/whatever censored Dokja's face.
That is the only time that the novel acknowledged and hinted about Dokja's censored face. It is at the end but some readers already focused on 4th wall by tht time so it got glossed over.

Regarding the hate, the hate he's talking about is not from here. It's from that site where he uploads.
What happened was, there was a scanlator group that is translating this manhwa but their upload schedule is wack and their translations are not that good (it's decent sometimes tho). So this TL decided to translate this too (he said his reasons in the note there). Then the scanlator group got mad and voiced their hate towards this TL, accusing him of copying them, sniping etc. The fans of that group also threw hate towards this TL. But the thing is, there are more people who support this TL coz his upload schedules are decent (he's willing to upload a day later as respect to webtoon and that scanlator group), and his translations are also better than the scanlation group.
Idk but the people called out the scanlation group for being a hypocrite. They said that that group is also known to snipe others too.

I like the lore of this story but what i don't like at least currently are the characters of ML and MC. So for people who already read ahead, pls tell me if they get char development. What i want to know is 1) is ML is gonna develop respect for MC and stop being rapey? ML saying "you actually like it" to MC whenever MC protests honestly sounds very groomy behavior. 2) is MC gonna develop self respect, have a back bone and stop being a push over? Will he finally put his foot down and actually stop the ML whenever ML rapes him and tell ML off about it? Or will he continue to let ML do it to him coz he "feels good" afterward despite protesting the whole time?
Honestly the manhwa about the S-class MC who smells like honey has more self respect than this MC despite being a simp himself. S-class MC is also a simp but when he thought ML didn't care for him and found another guide to use he actually left ML. He still a simp for ML but coz of misunderstanding he actually did something and not just fold immediately. He came back completely when the misunderstanding got resolved. Don't get me wrong, i still like this a bit coz the lore is keeping me interested but it's growing thin coz of ML and MC's characters.
