I absolutely. Love. The visual storytelling, it’s so fucking good it’s not even funny, i fully believe both of them are products of their own environment and did not know any better, which makes judging them suuuper complicated, a lot of the things they do to each other are not okay or excusable, yet you can’t help but think if they knew better they would treat each other better, most of the conflict they have comes from external factors that are outside their control/awareness so it’s really hard to pin the blame on either of them really, but I truly hope they get to resolve their conflict and have a happy ending bc if they didn’t i would grieve them irl I’m not even joking.
So im on ch 21 and isn’t this practically rape? No verbal consent, no preparation, bleeding and he kept going despite ju being unconscious, I haven’t seen a non con tag at all this just came out of nowhere wtf?, this suck so much I really liked this manhwa bro
Practically yea, but unlike it being romanticized or completely unrelated to the plot, I think it shows what pressure can do to a person or in this case our MC and how ill and addicted our ML is with his weird attraction towards the MC. Reading the whole thing adds on to why or what is happening. In short, the rape scene or chapter was ment to be uncomfortable, displaying struggles of each character. But that’s js my thought
In all honesty, this is an amazing read. But I must warn you, this is a noir bl so it has heavy sensitive topics covered and soon to be covered (like rape and pedophilia). so if you can handle such topics and can understand its need of political structure then its an amazing read. It also has an absolute interesting plot so its up to u if u wanna read!
there's a difference between reading something with heavy topics and putting a rape scene between characters you're clearly meant to root for with no warning whatsoever. not liking that a manhwa suddenly jump scared you with rape between the main characters doesn't mean that you can't handle heavy topics. i have no problem with the author adding grooming and CSA to the ml's backstory as it was actually handled well, without being graphic or undermining it. but adding a graphic rape scene with no warning nor anything that shows what a horrifying crime it was is different. it's treated like it was just rough sex and it's a dangerous thing to add, as it can warp people's understanding of sexual abuse. i've already seen many people say it wasn't rape, and the fact that the manhwa didn't portray it as anything worse than rough sex surely doesn't help.
It’s almost as if satou’s self doubt in being able to make yoshida happy and deserving of love is rooted in the trauma of being neglected emotionally as a kid and tying his self worth by looks which clearly wasn’t enough for his low self esteem that comes back to haunt and sabotage their relationship
I love his character sooooo much. I feel like when makimura mentioned about the inferiority complex, it completely triggered him and made him doubt his self worth again. His tendency to hangout with the girls even after knowing Yoshida doesnt really like it is soo routed to his fear of rejection/abandonment. It makes me so angry and we fr need to slime him for abandoning yoshida but i cant help but still feel bad for satou
I’m so tired of seeing ppl hating her for not playing the helpless damsel in distress who belongs inside the castle and should only worry abt when her husband gets back and throw balls BOOORRINNNGGG, that girl is GIFTED and she should use that gift for its intended purpose, that’s her calling she already turned the tides of the war with her contributions so stop hating on her for putting herself in dangerous situations and ACKNOWLEDGE how selfless she is.
