y’all what is happening- i couldve sworn this series ended??? why are they extending it with such bad writing now??? genuinely such a drag… good things always come to an end at some point AND THATS OKAY!!! LEAVE IT ALONE

i’ve always felt so connected to this story because their dynamic is bed is exactly how my partner and i are like… ESPECIALLY THIS LAST CHAPTER?? that pressure on your neck as you slightly see fuzz as they ram deeper into you.. oh my god is it heaven

gonna call out the specific dumbass user who felt the need to go on and on about how “a 16 year age gap is problematic regardless of the age” and kept making the argument that “a 6 year age gap wouldve communicated the age gap well enough”

did you not read the fucking story? the whole point was that lim just turned 40 and has realized he hasn’t been living life to the fullest- he meets an young ADULT who’s begun adding so much to his life. if you had 2 brain cells and proper media literacy, you’d realize that regardless of age, there is so much development to be made in your life.

you sound like you’re 16 yourself and have 0 dating experience. no one said the 16 year age gap between them WASN’T big. but guess what? they’re both functioning adults who DO address the age gap! that’s called healthy communication between ADULTS.

do you know what grooming is?? when someone is coerced and manipulated to abide by a predator’s coercion. NO ONE WAS BEING MANIPULATED INTO THIS RELATIONSHIP. is it so hard to believe that just because they have a large age gap, doesn’t mean they can BOTH CONSENT????? yes! yeoreum doesn’t have the same amount of life experience as lim, but he is NOT stupid and NOT a child! he’s not even new to adulting!

yes, your 20s are a turbulent time and not everyone would date someone that much older or that much younger than them, and so what? this story genuinely works so hard to navigate their relationship troubles: being their age gap, both being men, different stages of their lives, etc. — you can literally see times lim acts more immaturely than yeoreum, and he’s older!

they took the time to get to know each other and surpass and work on their troubles together as a couple. their love and intimacy comes from a place of warmth and genuine care, NOT manipulation and grooming.

so anyway, fucking take your time to grow up and stop being a dumbass. if this isn’t your story just leave- most of us here with media literacy can see how beautifully written and crafted this manhwa is, and we can take the time to enjoy it instead of you lol

lowkey starting to lose the plot maybe it’s bc i’m reading updates infrequently but all this drama seems so unnecessary…

i’ve been obsessed with this story from the start because of ppang’s way of writing and imagery throughout the story. SO much symbolism behind the word summer- from yeoreum meaning summer in korean, to the warm and fuzzy “summery” feelings that mr. lim develops for yeoreum, to the fact that this all takes place in the goddamn summer — and even in this latest chapter they go on to say how it’s still hot in october … that “it’s like summer just won’t leave” aka summer/yeoreum is NOT doing well and he IS NOT OVER MR. LIM AT ALL. you see so many references to summer (the season, the feelings of warmth, the literal character) but it never feels too in your face. this manhwa is so soft and romantic (my far my top fav alongside umibe no etranger and define the relationship)

i’m also so blown away but how soft and romantic yet realistic both mr. lim and yeoreum’s insecurities and grievances are toward the relationship and themselves. it never feels like their misunderstandings are rooted in a place of a lack kf communication but rather one feeling he’s just a bland old man that isn’t suited to hold onto this “kid” that is so talented and amazing and has his whole life ahead of him — and the other wanting to be taken seriously as an adult and that his feelings are much deeper than just a fleeting romance. they both know this but it’s just… “how could you not fall in love?”

extra side note: ppang has SOOOO many good queer and general western internet pop culture references AND IM LOVING IT EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! it’s always so subtle but you can tell how much ppang has taken the time to flesh out this story and i could srsly pick apart why this manhwa is so successful in making our hearts throb.

i need more people to talk to me about this manhwa i could go on for hours talking about them… i love them so much- if u read this far ty for reading my rambles i love my babies hic （/TДT)/

angst lasts for about 5 chapters give or take- he essentially quits guitar classes, leaving yeoreum worried and he visits him later at the end of the day at his apparent. hyeonseon breaks up with yeoreum and tries to pull the mean card “i don’t actually like you, our month is up” — yeoreum knows hes lying but what can he do? anyway months pass and they’re clearly still head over heels for each other, but they haven’t spoken at all since. hyeonseon meets his ex-wife again and they talk about life (it’s very sweet) and she reminds him that he can bare to be selfish when it comes to finding love… that inspires him “maybe i can be selfish” and he goes to find yeoreum again… that’s where it’s left off in the raws so far so i’m literally on the edge of my seat WAITING for their reunion
