I have to take a moment to appreciate the author of this story, not just for the wonderful MCs, the great storytelling and clever plot, or even the well fleshed out secondary characters. These were all superb, but an extra cheer from me for choosing the decadent fashions of the Georgian era.

The men were perfect in their jewelled heels, flowing lace at throat and wrists, tailored and form fitting coats, and long hair! To actually commit to having a MC with long, shining black curls was just amazing. The little beard was so wonderful too. How could you help but to love both Joel and Adam?

An ok short story about a shapeshifter tiger who raises the children his younger brother orphaned. When Yul and his sister grow up, it’s not surprising that Yul has developed adult feelings for Beom but he struggles to find the courage to confess.

The plot was bare bones basic. There were moments that were very predictable and some that were cringe (like what Yul did after trying to confess), but the art was nice and the smut well done.

Translation was poor with respect to grammar but it was at least understandable.

I found this to be a rather melancholy story, not a cute one (though Iyo was cute).

Things just didn’t make much sense when it came to character motivations. Most especially with Fumichi. He is waiter at a bar where he got beaten up by a customer he offended. But he keeps working there, even when the customer returns, drugs and rapes him violently. And he still returns. Sure, there is an impression that the drug makes him forget a lot, but it makes no sense especially when you find out he doesn’t even get paid at the bar? Does he not need money to live?

The flashes of his childhood show him as a runaway with no attachment to his caregivers. But no reasoning why. Are they abusive, was he stolen, are they even his parents?

When saviour type Sazawa and his daughter, Iyo step in, Fumichi seems to fall for them both. But he resists that safety. Feelings of low self worth? I found him hard to relate to. I still enjoyed the story but overall it feels like too many missed opportunities to flesh out both of the MCs properly.

Cute little story of Prince Ike’s sojourn to make a name for himself and become a hero. Any good human would believe that a personal quest to take out the demon king would be a worthy adventure, but Noah, Demon King of Mano is not that easy to kill and worse he is sweet and gentle. I liked watching the feisty prince’s personal growth as he learned to look behind the superficial and how he found his place in the world of monsters. Plus, Noah was such a softie (▰˘◡˘▰)

This is an isekai story that has a new (for me) reasoning behind taking the FL from one world and putting her in another. There were some plot holes but overall it was great to watch Arsene fall for his gentle Regina and to watch Regina finally be able to trust the Duke. I am a fan of yandere type in stories and Arsene had some fantastic scenes with that yandere glint in his eye and blood on his face. Side character were interesting and the villain was a suitably loathsome person.

It’s a rather nice, fast paced story from beginning to end. Refreshing in that the ML and FL were both great communicators; forthright, honest, upfront. They were also supportive of each other and had a hand in hand, side by side approach to their relationship. I think that their ability to communicate so well is why the story sped along, dealing with issues as they arose rather than getting bogged down in misunderstandings and poor communication skills.

I like stories where we follow a MC in their childhood and this FL had some very PTSD worthy early years. But then she joined the household of Ein Castielo, her biological father and Karl Castielo, her older brother. The relationship between these 3 was really the healthiest relationship in the story and was something to enjoy.

I liked the choice for ML. His loyalty and protectiveness were great but he could get a bit carried away with the noble self sacrifice at times. I appreciated that he ensured that Estelle had time apart from him to grow out of that childish puppy love to the deeper love of an adult. Sure I wanted to shake some sense into him at times, but if he had been the 2nd ML in the story I would have felt he was cheated by the author. In the end, he had earned a place beside the FL and you couldn’t doubt their strong love for each other,

I liked the concept of being the bride of Yama and getting revenge on those who sacrificed her and treated her and her parents so horridly but yeah, that just didn’t really happen. This was an annoying series of FL actions and choices where she kept putting herself in dangerous situations that required the ML to rescue her, call her honey and smite her foes while clasping her in his arms as he manfully said (nearly each and every time), “nobody harms my wife”.

Sure, she helped him a couple of times, suddenly able to wield a sword like a boss, but it was just a flat attempt to give her some strength of character that felt very out of character.

My main issues (other than the above & including spoilers) were that she hated Yama at first but it just took a couple of “not my woman” moments to have her all over him, there were loads of other powerful characters but no real explanation of who they were, their relationship to Yama or Beth, or why they were allies or enemies. Yama was actually always using her but had a “revelation” at the end that had him understand (wish I did) and he left her only to return after years at the end (didn’t actually see him btw) with no reason of what he did, if it mattered, where they would go, were they together now, why he went, what happened to the other woman (I could go on). Oh and having a baby was meant to kill her but suddenly we see the kid and her no problems.

In short, this story was immaturely written and full of flaws.

I love a good polyamory story. This wasn’t one of them.

The FL was passively accepting of being whisked off planet, transported in what appeared to resemble a prison transport, displayed at an auction style venue, fought over by a couple of extremely cute men, and then spending the night bonking her brains out with the one she picked. Ok, nice fantasy. But that’s human trafficking, the nightmare of any sane woman.

Then her partner leaves before she wakes, she is dressed like a sex object, goes off to class to be given an assignment to have more sex, and stops to grab a couple of slaves on the way home… All while wearing a dewy expression akin to a stunned mullet. Oh and within one day she is already forgetting her home planet.

I have read that the story gets good around chapter 30, but the FL is so vapid I can’t be assed waiting to get there. I am sure she gets her happy 4 way relationship, more power to her, but this kind of inane beginning doesn’t have me invested.

This was a really lovely story and if you weren’t sure on whether to read it for fear of incest, don’t stress. The connection between Yunjou and Seolyun is one they would defy everyone and everything to pursue, but they are not related.

So if that’s all that was stopping you from reading, no need for worry!
