Anyone else just feel bored with the bl content that's been out? Like personally I've gotten to a point where I'm unable to find much to pique my interest. Outside of mdzs/gdc there isn't anything new or exciting or good it seems. The genre feels lacking
Have your tried Omegaverse? Where men could get prego?... I read more of those than original BL. And that's how I feel about Yuri... like I would like a yuri story to be like blooming flowers or yuri in omegaverse

If you want to enjoy story and related to bl, find something tagged tragedy or similar
Omegaverse is a hard "no" from me, like the other person said it's basically everything wrong about yaoi on steroids. Yuri I don't read much at all but if there's anything good I'm down tbh
Oh yeah I've been reading other genres as well, and yeah all those things are definitely why I'm not into the genre like I used to be. It's unfortunate though because sometimes I just want... a good bl manga lol

i definitely feel this, in my many years of reading bl ya develop a sense of what ya wanna read right? and whats good and whats not so great, eventually lots of stuff may just seem weird or unexciting??? but as enthusiasts we always keep looking, the genre is huge though!! and new stuff is always comin out, im sure ull find somethin !!
Yeah, can relate. When you've read a lot of yaoi, it can get kinda dull. For me personally, I've gotten a bit tired of reading BL's that have the MC's romance being built up as the main story line. Like, that's all there is to the story, the romance, some drama and the sex, the end. Which I guess is more or less the point of the whole yaoi genre anyways but like, an actual story being told in the process would be great too, ya know? Kind of like Blood Bank and Dear Door. They're pretty smutty but still had a story that it followed and I'd love to see more yaoi's like that in general. ┗( T﹏T )┛
As of now though, I'll be on a shounen ai binge. I just finished Silver Diamond if you're up for a fairly "old" long running fantasy shounen ai. That is if you haven't already read it.

Have you tried taking a break from bl? There are times when I felt bored so I read other genres (shounen, shoujo etc) for a short period of time. Try it, because you might be missing out on actually good bls that you don't find interesting because you're sick of bl for the time being (▰˘◡˘▰)
Oh good lord okay so:
it's a one shot about these two friends (with benefits) who'd known each other since high school; one is openly gay, the mc's sexuality is never stated.There's a flashback where the mc explains that one morning they woke up and kissed each other, which is how they fell into an on again off again arrangement that lasts some years. Presently openly gay guy had just broken up with his boyfriend, so he comes over for a visit to the mc's place and they do it. Next morning, the mc pretty much tells the other guy that he wants more out of their relationship which makes the other cry from relief, I believe.
