I hate the accidental baby trope, and don’t get me started on this uke, you are dirt poor with no real housing and you want to keep the baby, you just have to laugh
Yeah I truly understand and agree with you for the most part but it’s the fact that he’s a recessive male omega this might be his only chance to have a baby and a family member who genuinely needs wants and loves him it’s more nuanced then just get rid of it though it’s selfish it’s just not black and white
Respectfully.....hard disagree.
Like you said he's just dying to have someone in his life who is garunteed to love him and children are all but required to love their parents. He doesn't care if he can barely feed that baby or worse, as long as he gets the companionship he seeks.
It may be understandable and common, but that doesnt make it right. It is objectively selfish as he is prioritizing his wants and needs over the baby's when it should be the other way around.
Yeah so I never said it was right or okay I just said that it’s more nuanced than op is thinking I said it was selfish and you literally just reiterated and agreed with everything I said like I stated it’s not all black and white he has reason to keep it many be twisted/selfish and irrational or irresponsible but there is reason whether you understand that is different like you can have empathy without sympathy
I'm saying I don't agree that the reasons you listed constitute nuance.
However, I do agree emotions, empathy, and sympathy make it FEEL like a nuanced situation but in reality it is not.
We may just fundamentally disagree and thats ok. Also in your defense, I know for a fact many people probably agree with you.
So nuanced it just a descriptor that there are more reasons than just money and buy definition nuanced means ,a difference in a precise detail or distinction it’s a very small, subtle, and often easy-to-miss difference in meaning, feeling, color, or sound and the expressing complex ideas with subtle distinctions, balanced viewpoints, and careful attention to tone rather than reducing a topic to a simple black-and-white choice it’s not just about the baby itself it’s not just about money it’s not just about family its not just about love it’s not just about medical issues it’s the culmination of that that makes it a nuanced reason he is poor but he wants love and a family is it wrong to push that burden of a child yes is it understandable yes he wants a piece of the man who’s the father is that irrational yes but it’s the 1st love and nicety he’s had he’s medically inclined to not ever have the chance to have a child and this is a rare chance for his constitution this might be his only child ever is that selfish yes but it’s a thing that happens to so many that you can see that it’s a rock in a hard place to give up the child is to give up the possibility of any child in the future whether he becomes financially stable and independent or not it’s irresponsible to live outside ur means it’s irresponsible to bring children into poverty but it’s a cornered choice with repercussions either way but we see people make similar choices and sometimes it’s turns out for the best and it’s a push forward and sometimes it’s a weight to drag them down it’s a situational aspect to it sometimes people like this make the best parents others not we see it a lot with teenage pregnancy it’s not a decision that fits nicely and neatly in a box nor does it deserve a bow I can understand and pity a decision but that doesn’t excuse or justify or erase culpability and I don’t have to respect it either I don’t think you understand that you literally are acting like I think that this is the right decision I don’t I think it’s a hard decision you literally are fighting using the exact same points I am explaining how it is a implicit position so yeah we can agree to disagree but your doing a lot more agreeing than you realize your opinion is valid but it’s just that your round about of saying that you don’t aline with projecting on children and the selfishness of bringing children into hardship or poverty but that doesn’t take away from weight of the decision or the fact that I agree with literally everything you are saying I really don’t understand what you’re fighting over
Like I get that this is a multifaceted issue with many layers and complex components to me it just seems that for some even with a the factors weighing in morally it would be a easy choice for some and subaqueous decision it’s just personal preference and perspective that can make it a harder or easier option and I can see and understand both sides whether I personally agree or approve is not the argument quick to jump slow to think slow to get up quick to stop all 2 sides of the same coin
I tried to find common ground, because I wanted to discuss not fight.
I never assumed you thought what he was doing was right or accused you of such. I was addressing your opinion that we should take nuance into account of the MCs circumstances.
My argument has always been that while the circumstances and emotions may be nuanced, the decision is a black and white issue.
Anyways, guess we won't even agree to disagree since we're on different pages. So this is it for me (●'◡'●)ノ

I found this way too soon, the writing is great! An OP character that is actually complex, not misogynistic and they touch on the trauma of his past instead of brushing it aside? Hell yeah
