You think too much. Sure, mayne some stories are like that, but not ALL of them. Besides, the FL never saw him that way when he was young. She was only focused on helping him grow into a capable adult so he'd be able to take care of himself after she was gone.

Fair enough, maybe i shouldn't have brought up "all." My point wasn't to say your criticism is invalid. I do agree that some authors use reincarnation as a convenient way to sidestep the ethical implications of the relationship. I just don't think every reincarnation story does that for the same reason. Some use it as a plot device, while others use it specifically to justify the romance. I think those cases should be judged individually rather than grouped together

And personally, i don't think this particular story falls into the latter category, which is why i disagreed with applying that criticism here

True. That's why the 1st emperor changed the folklore. He killed his own brother, seal his beloved witch because she refused him, use his dragon's friend to seal Ria away without his knowing that made the dragon sacrificed his life to protect him for even approaching Ria's sealed body.
