I rarely write on this website,but after seeing the comments,I just had to get it out of my chest.
A lot of people don't seem to realize that not everyone can be as open about their sexuality/relationship as others. I would say this kind of represents a lot of queer relationships in Asia(as an Asian queer myself). Sure, LGBTQ+ stuffs has been more acceptable nowadays, but there are still stigmas around it. And sometimes, it's better to stay under the radar for both U and Ur lover's safety and whatnot.
SPOILER IN THIS PART: I've seen some people saying the seme has internalized homophobia, and while that MAY be the case,I don't think that's the entire reason he is still closeted. At one point in the manga,he said he wanted to eventually talk to their family about it, and I don't think that's something someone with an internalized homophobia would even consider about. We see that he is slowly trying to accommodate uke's wants(even if the actions are not as openly affectionate as the uke's), some people just need more time than others, especially with external factors like public opinion, family and a few other things.
The most important part is communication, and if both are fine with this kind of relationship, then others don't have the right to indicate what is right and what is wrong(like seme's friend tried to do so). In the end,what matters is that both are trying to be considerate of eo,and respecting eo's boundaries. Sure,sometimes it sucks that you can't be as open about your relationship as others because your partner is closeted. I'm kind of in the same situation as the uke, openly out lesbian in a relationship with a closeted bi gf, and sometimes I have those kinda feelings. But in the end,I wouldn't trade my own gf's safety and comfort over anything else. We both know we're in love with eo,and once she is ready to come out to her parents and other people,I will gladly be by her side and support her through it. But until then, I'm contented just loving her behind closed door. And from what I interpreted,this seems to be same way for this couple in the manga as well. It's quite sad and nice at the same time, how this part of their relationship is the same for me and a few other Asian queer couple I know.
In the end,just like I said in the title, this kind of relationship is not for everyone and that's ok. As long as both people in the relationship already communicated about it and are fine with it, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing.

you'll need to make an account. If you have to pay depends on the team or person translating the novel, in this case if you want to read advanced chapters you have to pay but if you wait they become free. I'm currently reading the novel and so far good.
