Yeah everything went so fast

NO ONE saw this coming!

dojun purposely scored low on his exams and no longer was eligible for his scholarship and the next best person that could get it was jaehee. so in other words, dojun basically gave his scholarship to jaehee bc dojun wanted to be able to go to the same college as jahee (i think jahee needed that scholarship to be able to go to his top school, which is the school dojun wanted to go too or something like that) if i remember correctly!

if he wanted to go to the same college then why break up?

he broke up with jaehee bc he was afraid of jaehee getting accused of corruption or something like that. the possibility of jaehee being accused of rigging the system and getting the scholarship without actually earning it was what dojun wanted to avoid (especially since dojun's father heavily questioned dojun after his tests of how dojun could score that low on his test). the only way that dojun thought of for jaehee to avoid that suspicion was to break up with him so that there was no connection between him and jaehee

oh... ohhhh my god I missed out on so much of the plot

just wanna add it wasn’t bc of scholarship but bc of the principal recommendation. only the top 2 students gets the principal writing a rec letter to the college which carries a lot of weight so he intentionally answered wrong to be w him. just for him to break up to protect him
