I've read quite a few comments abt how this and stranger are similar, stranger has been in my to read list for quite a while, i wanted to ask if it's worth reading?, if the plot is similar I'm guessing it's good? i mean apart for the conflicts does it have other similarities like how this one in all honesty has a pretty green flag relationship (because both the mc and the ml are green flags tbh), please lmk if I should start reading stranger and some insight on the main plot would also be helpful <33 (i want to read something w no rape or sa w a healthy relationship, external conflict like this is okay)

it's really really similar, except here the richer one knows what's going on but the other didn't know. which is leading to drama. they also get together pretty quickly iirc but the focal point is the maturing relationship. i personally think Stranger is one of the BLs with more poetic dialogue.

If you know asian families this is actually nothing at all. Specially South Asian families can have near a thousand people in "The family" because they include EVERY possible relative there is. So compared to that, this is literally nothing.

As someone who is Asian and also has quite a large family, I won’t deny what others think is large or small lmao. To them, it may be a big family. That’s just a personal opinion. No right or wrong. Just like how people have different opinions on how something can be affordable for them or not. Y’all be reminding me of those people who say “80 dollar jeans are a good affordable price and that it’s normal for good quality, it isn’t even considered expensive.” Like, of course whatever it is they consider normal (money, family size) is based on their own personal experience and environment.

Y’all also forget that this is a historical setting so it’s likely that the blood line is HUGE, including illegitimate, adopted, etc. even if it’s not mentioned or shown to be bigger characters.

Well I do agree with you, but I wasn't trying to be competitive.As you said, "normal" is a ver subjective concept, but that's where numbers offer you an actual scale. And I was offering my own perspective, because by seeing the perspectives of all sorts of different people we can actually have an almost accurate grasp of reality.

Why do you think mari-san replied to me? Because they know it was a reply meant for them and the first person who replied. The only reason I didn’t click the reply button directly was because I can’t mention/@ two people on here. I think you need to reread my comment because all of it points to me saying how they shouldn’t have judged about how someone says something is large.

If you need the best points where you can tell I was defending you, I’m quoting what I said:
