making kaede actually like akira first due to some childhood thing makes it worse because what do you mean you liked akira when u were kids, had a crush on akira's brother after akira basically rejected you , starts acting like a bitch to akira.k.a. the are you really his brother (which makoto did not like at all and one of the reasons he remains iffy about kaede), then fall for akira again.
they should've just established that kaede's like for makoto was superficial because makoto was kind to him once rather than make this a 'oh i actually liked you before i liked your brother then i started liking you again because i had no chance with your brother and you were there to comfort me'.
kaede also has the reoccuring theme of kissing akira without his consent (when akira was asleep in the infirmary), being pushy with akira the same way some of ya'll dislike hina for, being super possessive over akira like he wasn't into akira's brother just last week, and then even pushing akira down to kiss him (just like hiragi did even though hiragi was worse because thats a grown man assaulting a teen essentially).
despite this, im looking forward to how kaede's route goes since i've seen some people mentioning that the manga isn't exactly a one to one copy of the novel?
also; how many routes are there going to be? we got two now (natsuhi's and kaede's) then some say there's gonna be a route fot hiragi and then the prez? someone confirmed that there's a shirousa route but no route for her younger brother. a hina route probably. what about the 'teacher' a.k.a hina's fujoshi friend? seems interesting.
actually really want a haruki route just for funsies to see how that goes because shirousa mentioned that he's a legit capture target for the akira in the game's season 2 and we saw a sneak peak of HaruAki and then Makoto with the Prez if akira goes through the looting route.

It’s not that Kade was brother hopping but that he had a subconscious attraction to Akita’s brother because of their similarities. Kade’s first love was Akita as a kid but obviously over time he forgot abt it and then sees someone who aligns with his type (aka his past crush) and falls for him. It’s only after Kade confesses to Akita that he remembers that the kid he first fell for was actually Akita all along. So it’s more like he fell for akiras brother because of the similarity to his first love but only because his forgotten first love was Akita all alongヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
seems like ebisu turns back into the scaredy cat he was before when he's scared. really seeing the ebisu acted like seimei (when he was scared of yokais) in the past that sano mentioned
the mention of the yamato no orochi and it being defeated by a 'certain god' and when you add sano's reaction to realizing he can use sake, and then his awkward reaction after seimei called his plan the yamato no orochi strategy.
the susanoo no mikoto turning to sano mikoto is so good.
now im wondering if ebisu is ebisu/hiroko/Kotoshiro-nushi-no-kami , one of susanoo's brothers in mythology and one who is actually the god of fishermen and luck which tracks with ebisu due to the luck thing. looking forward to his backstory too since ebisu in japanese mythology was abandoned by his parents.

despite kaede saying that he likes akira for real, still cant help feeling iffy that kaede intially liked akira's older brother and was mean to akira (even comparing akira to his older brother and finding him lacking in comparison) before eventually liking akira because akira didn't get angry at him for being mean. even akira's older brother wasn't all that happy when he found out that kaede was hanging around akira and that kaede liked akira.
