honestly read this because it has a 9.1 rating but the side stories are much better than the main story. i understand this is a sequel to a seemingly poorly written prequel, but idk if its due to bad translation or something else, I feel the overall storytelling/worldbuilding is... lacking? Some parts it seems like we completely glaze over how some of the characters feel/realize certain things, and other parts it lacks the buildup and tension for critical moments.
y'all might downvote me to oblivion for this lol but just my 2 cents.
Honestly it's kind of true. I can understand the overall story fine and enjoy it but I agree, some parts of the story are indeed glazed over, and it really does lack tension and buildup for critical points. Some parts also just... Fall flat

usually i'm not a fan of these taking historical characters and rewriting them but this one is so tastefully done.

also im not sure whats going on at the end - is this a flashback or future that we're seeing mincheol?? the black panels suggest it isn't the present.

I would say yes! It’s heavily plot focused and I find it to be very well written and not your typical dark romance where they get a happy ending so if you’re okay with non con,toxicity,manipulation etc…..then yes it’s a 10/10 and i’m saying this as someone who read all of the novels
same feeling when i started reading this, cuz I'm so curious why a lot of people been talking abt this manhwa and guess what?? now i been hooked and even fighting with haters lol HAHAHAHAHAHA
its good, just know that the series is realllllllyyy long and theres like 2-3 more novels + side storys after this one so passion doesnt end here
