I personally am not a fan of the whole pseudo incest plot, although, I think something that would have made the plot a lot more easy to stomach and still have the whole step sibling relationship (like the author so clearly wants) would to have something more similar to what was seen with cherry blossoms after winter (I stopped reading that after the first couple seasons I have no clue how it is now) where they had the MC is introduced to the family after a tragedy and is adopted into a close family friend, it establishes a “familial” tie but creates more distance. Yet I feel by making the parents be married it creates more issues by creating a deeper familial tie in the relationship because no matter what you’ll always have a direct familial connection. Because of that I feel that’s why the scene where the ML has a flashback after watching those two brothers after they ran into him made it more disturbing because it in a way shows the ML tainting that pure brotherly love into something more sinister. Of course I’m writing this as my own personal interpretation and I don’t think I will be continuing this manhwa, others may enjoy it I don’t think this is something for me.

I agree that it creates less distance but I think that's the intent behind this dynamic. It's meant for the reader to grow concern over there relationship, and some can even consider this grooming (which it is) but that isn't a poorly thought out mistake. When the author made them step bros it wasn't just in name but in their connection with one another. I really like it but I can see why u and other's weren't expecting this much of a familial relationship, and the problems that arise with such incestuous relations.

yes!! this was one of the few omegaverse stories I’ve read bc the mc was different from the stereotype of being weak, submissive, and constantly vulnerable to SA. whiplash to portray him otherwise and then finish the season with him being victimized into that exact stereotype. my stupid ass got my hopes up knowing bl authors love to ruin their stories for the sake of including rape. and now he’s downplaying being raped and everyone is mad at him im tired
