Tbh, I don't even remember if she met this black haired guy in the novel. Also, novel was open ended. As for who the ML is in that regard...nobody really. She went for it! She skippity dipped and off she went to study abroad. That's where it ended. At least that's what I remember. I never came across extra side stories so I dunno.
