I wonder if they’d been given the option to choose which parents they’d like to live with. All that resentment he’s feeling might not be so exacerbated by his sister’s presence if he could be with his dad instead of his mother.
Anyway, I’ve enjoyed what I read so far. Looking forward to the continuation. Curious to see how he’ll genuinely fall for her.
The DID was a nice play. He gets to be himself. I’m sticking around as long as there’s no r*pe involved.
Maybe they like each other but scared to admit and maybe his sister know that they have feelings to each other thats why she wrote a story about them.
His sister didn’t write the book, she just told him about it and landed it to him.
I just saw TJ last chapter and yet I miss him already
The emperor reminds me of one of those men who say the wrong thing while their hearts feel something entirely different. He’s not doing it on purpose, he simply hasn’t worked it out himself. Plus I’m guessing the memory of his dead lover is playing a part in that.
Anyway, I’m really into his character and I can’t pinpoint why exactly.

There are missing pages between the moment when he kneels to check the hem of her dress, and the hug at the end.
Here are my theories:
1. MC didn’t know that the price for removing “death” so he and the ML could be together forever was his reincarnation, so the “betrayal” wasn’t done on purpose.
2. To remove “death,” ML had to be in the underworld for 300 years or so. In order not to suffer during that time (let’s assume he’d normally get tortured in the underworld), MC took his pain in the form of the bad luck that kept following him since he reincarnated.

He’s super kind to her, but in the end, he’s only that way because he believed she was a Bonuaparte. The moment his sister tells him she isn’t, he drops her and treats her like she’s not even worth being polite to. FL then realizes that she ignores the signs of his true personality throughout their relationship, because he’s always treated commoners and people of lower status like they don’t even exist or like they shouldn’t even try to be or speak around him.
