Where do I start.....
I read this back in 2018, when it was actively updating. And in the beginning I had a perception that Taku was the person I was meant to root for. I had a severe case of second lead syndrome, because in my mind, Taku was the obvious answer I didn't understand why Haesoo wanted to be in a toxic relationship and why he couldn'tlet ir go. It didn't make sense to me with each upload.I hated the ending, and I hated the story. It felt like it was rewarding bad behavior. Rather than it being a story of overcoming a toxic relationship it felt like it promoted staying in a toxic relationship.
But after eight years, I finally didn't feel as much resentment, and I decided to give it another read. I didn't feel as much hatred as I did towards Joowon, I read this understanding what was going to happen, but trried to remain as unbiased as possible. And while I was reading, I realized so many things that I missed when I was younger. Joowon was always going to be the answer, and I don't know why I wasn't able to capture that back then. I wasn't able to understand how complex the relationship and the feelings that they had towards each other were. I still hate the pseudoincest dynamic.And I am not for step brothers being with each other. But I think you would be watering down what the relationship ultimately is. It is so much more than just that. And in a weird way Joowon became an realistic character. He acted out was because of fear and because of hurt. So many of the characters behaved because of fear and hurt, and I was able to understand that. Now my heart still cries for Taku because I think he's a really well written character.But I think that he wasn't necessarily just a tool to bring Haesoo and Joowon together, but this is also necessary for him to grow as a character. And Haesoo needed Taku to grow as a character as well. In a weird way, they all needed each other. In order to grow

It was obvious to me that Skylar didn't like Cirrus like that, and when they got together it wasn't because he liked Cirrus. Honestly 100% of the time I root for the second lead. I always get second lead syndrome. (Love or Hate- Taku. Yours to Claim- Cain. Hate Mate- Jun ....etc) Honestly I could see Ian ending up with either. Jo is someone who can help Ian. I could see him healing and moving on from his past with Jo. (I personally don't like Joseph's design) But Jo is a very good candidate and I wouldn't mind them ending up together. TJ has me feeling conflicted. (I love how TJ looks) he needs a lot of healing and therapy!!!! Ian and TJ are super co dependant. TJ really cares for Ian and you can tell just how much he loves him. Would he be the best option for Ian? No. But if they ended up together it would also be a win. Honestly either could end up with Ian and I would still rate it high. (My solution let them be all in a relationship)
I hope they upload the little side story and some small moments left out from the ending!!!
