I've read it...but even Ian himself doesn't know why he's doing all this and not killing Michelle, he constantly thinks about killing him though. He falls in love some time after they're married, but if y'all saw how Michelle is, you'd wish for someone like that too, he's just that loveable, even if Ian tried he couldn't resist. Anyway more spoilers idk what to say....maybe about the revenge, Ian wants to take revenge on Michelle's family because his father sa-ed him and pretty much used him while Michelle's mother was pregnant, and he was also treated badly by Michelle's brothers. The reason he offered to marry Michelle is just to kill him but that didn't end up happening... He also has a sister from his father, she hates Ian, because he's an illegitimate child and doesn't deserve to be the duke so she tricks Michelle by telling him there's a cave where he can get beautiful blue crystals as his 3rd wedding gift to Ian, she knows Ian's gonna go save Michelle when he learns about it, there's also a strong guy way bigger than Ian accompanying Michelle there (he's the one who she paid to kill them) long story short they both struggle a lot because this guy is really strong...all of Ian's trained dogs get killed, Ian gets really injured, the guy won't die and Michelle shoots him with a shotgun because it's obvious Ian can't go on for long.. anyway he's kinda traumatized because he's never even gotten close to killing someone so Ian's like "I killed him" but Michelle recovers and is like "No I killed him to protect my wife"... Yea ask questions because idk what to say

but what I need to correct in my spoiler is that this bastard king actually remembers his first and second lives. So, in his first life after Muzhan died, he killed the concubine and his own child that the concubine gave birth to because the concubine was caught killing Muzhan. Then in his second life, he remembers his entire first life when Muzhan committed suicide in prison. At that point he became very regretful, hopeless, angry, and hated himself and went to war and died. In his current life, he recalls all the things that happened in his first and second lives when he meet the servant girl (who became his concubine in his second life) for the first time and was thwarted by Muzhan's plan and when he wanted to turn around and leave that place because he didn't want to meet Muzhan, that's where he remembered all the series of his life stories in life 1 and 2.
