Pure fire. And holy shit there’s so many fucking party poopers in the comments lol. If you’re reading this comment and debating reading this manwha, do it. It’s good and I’m pretty picky lol. Both the male lead and female lead are likeable. Obviously they each have their moments but their personalities overall are good. Anyway this is good. Don’t read this if u have a stick up ur ass and demand every character be perfect.

Perhaps I’m a terrible person for saying this, but I still cannot bring myself to fully accept or forgive Lyrica’s mother. Of course I acknowledge she has changed and is no longer the same person. But how she behaved is so disgusting. She was a true villainess. I suppose it is refreshing to see an ACTUAL past villainess rather than one that was misunderstood. Even then, I don’t know. What she did put a bad taste in my mouth. I do like the mother’s character, just, idk. I have complicated feelings.
I'm so with you, but that's also what I love so much about this story. There's a much greater emotional impact in this story compared to other villainess-type reincarnation/time regressor stories (at least in my experience, the majority are either a random third party isekai-ed into the villainess' body, or a character who's labeled a villainess but was actually innocent/a victim/a pawn hiding the true villain)
But this one it's like, no she was totally actually evil and her daughter was her primary victim.
And she doesn't even just get to move on now that she's living better this time.
There's a real impact on her relationship with her daughter at the beginning (it's so heart wrenching!! It's my favorite and I reread it all the time) and she's just lucky that she went far enough back that things were still fixable
But she still has to live with the guilt of what she did and the doubt that she's even capable of being a good mother to lyrica (tho I think it's good that those aspects aren't the fore-front of the story or even their relationship, I really appreciate it being there)
But yeah, she was a terrible person and she did terrible things, primarily to her own kid who was the most pure-hearted little angle who loved her unconditionally. Regardless of her own past and traumas and issues, that isn't something that can just be forgiven and washed away with a "I'll do better this time"
I genuinely hope she never forgives herself for what she did and I think it's totally valid as a reader if you don't either
That true... She was a horrible mother even that word can't describe who bad she was... Because she would have continued being one if she hadn't seen her daughter died that day
*How*
Yes, I agree with you. This comment made me feel better haha
