Still doesn't make him right, but girl can't seem to be able to go through the grief stages and solve her own feelings. She can have a better effect by just being cold. I am not sure why they did not emphasize this but the sword Carlise gave to Asha was preordered in advanced before Carlise went to the capital. It will take at least two months to make the sword that is custom made. That's how special Asha is to him, he think of her way before. This guy fell first and will fall even harder hahahaha
