My crazy theory is that ML is not actually the chairman’s lover but his bastard son undercover (they were never lovers and the old man is covering up his identity). But that’s maybe just my brain trying to make excuses for the old man affair not actually be a thing lol
I think one of the brothers sacrificed himself to save her life, giving her that beam that preserves her life. However, to keep the beam “clean” to not kill her the surviving brother has to have sex with her. And the surviving brother resents her for “taking” the life of the other bro.
The author will basically come up with an explanation to forgive all the r@ping on the present timeline, but there’s literally nothing that the author could do to make ML redeemable in my opinion. No matter if he really had to have sex with her to preserve her life, he should have treated her way better and actually explained everything.
It’s a waste to see stories with such great art but with plots like this.
