first few chapters are really boring and feels like your typical system manhwa. but damn, it got so good all of a sudden.
what makes this story so unique is the way it did justice to ptsd and survivor's guilt. i found myself tearing up multiple times and even ORV, the goated manhwa, has only managed to make me cry twice.
i like this so much too cause it really focused on the sacrifice of hunters and the human aspect of it. most system manhwas i've read have so much OP characters that the dungeons doesn't even feel dangerous anymore. this one really showed the gruelling aspect of being a hunter. being S-Class doesn't ensure their survival, but they still go into those dungeons to protect the world from cataclysm. the heroism is strong in this one and that's really lovely.
MC and ML also has a refreshing dynamic cause MC is the cynical one while ML is the optimist. although they are both good people. this is so damn good and so damn underrated.
the hunters here are tragically outmatched by the dungeons
i just love them both together what can i sayyy. i can take a storm of angst as long as they end up happy
the ending made feel like everything was pointless?? but i think that's the message the writer was trying to deliver. balance and the yinyang stuff.
art and the action scenes are good but something felt lacking. i guess i didn't like that the mc was very much like a y/n that has no actual character. writer also intended that but i just didn't enjoy it. the story also didn't explore much of mc's personal connection with other characters (bcos of the timeframe i guess). good plot can only take you so far if there are no striking characters driving the story and adding stake and their feelings to it. it felt like a tale told from outsider perspective, without the human aspect.
but overall, it's a nice read. damun and his cursed, kinda evil warden is also interesting.

So far, no. Other than purchasing them on RIDIBOOKS ,which is actually quite affordable, and using MTL (although I find it ineffective).
