the ending made feel like everything was pointless?? but i think that's the message the writer was trying to deliver. balance and the yinyang stuff.
art and the action scenes are good but something felt lacking. i guess i didn't like that the mc was very much like a y/n that has no actual character. writer also intended that but i just didn't enjoy it. the story also didn't explore much of mc's personal connection with other characters (bcos of the timeframe i guess). good plot can only take you so far if there are no striking characters driving the story and adding stake and their feelings to it. it felt like a tale told from outsider perspective, without the human aspect.
but overall, it's a nice read. damun and his cursed, kinda evil warden is also interesting.
i get that we are all tired of those manhwas disguised as "fluffy" and "wholesome" and then having some graphic SA in it. BUT. this isn't like that. the story has established dark themes since the beginning. i believe the writer won't brush it off or minimize it thru the narrative (praying)
let's not police an entire genre. stories with dark themes are needed. and if we're going to complain about the amount of SA in BL manhwa, take it to those who advertise themselves as cute romance. PEACE!
the character design is too fucking good, along with the art. plus the characters are also all well rounded??? this the yaoi of the year. their chemistry is amazing, the plot is so interesting and mysterious in the right amount. this is everything i needed. (yk what, this lowkey reminded me of monochrome rumour but if there's no isekai and the doomed to die character found redemption instead) i can't wait for more omg. if i had the money, i'd send huge amounts of it to the writer and artist

that was fast holy moly
