Red head kills the Duke for her after she tells him she’s being threatened and held hostage. Her original plan was to just kill the Duke and herself. Red head tells her to wait and turns out he has his own holy relic that allows him to travel great distances. The Duke tries to threaten red head in a prior event and brings up the same threat when they reunite during the killing scene. It becomes clear to the red head the Duke is a liar and would always try to manipulate the red head to his will. Red head is descended from a dragon btw and is able to detect lies. Anyways, Duke legit does not expect to be killed and dies pretty pathetically.

She does end up with major trust issues due to the Duke and attempts suicide in front of her family, using poison the red head gifted to her upon her request (originally intended to poison the original FL of the story). Red head visits FL daily during her recovering and helps bring her out of depression).

I go back and forward on liking the ending. Like- 100 chapters spent building up this love story with the duke. Then like 15 chapters of Duke being a POS. Then he just dies. But that’s what life is like- it’s snuffed out so easily. FL finds out she’s not a bastard and her father knows she’s his child. Her step mom? She was a prostitute the father bought a title for. Making her brother of true lowly origins. There’s a really sweet scene where she attends her brother’s b day in a black dress (major taboo) and red head shows up in all black too.

War is imminent in the kingdom. Red head and her fight the head of his family and the two of them flee to another country to escape being killed and exploited for the war. The kingdom is on a losing streak at the end. The FL’s brother and father die in war. Funny thing, if FL hadn’t run away and the brother didn’t have the father put in writing he was the official heir, they probably could’ve sent the FL to war instead of the brother. Anyways, on the run, FL cuts her hair and creates a wig for red head (Carl). They live a humble life with red head as the cook

As mentioned, red head is descended from a dragon and has a certain degree of blood lust. Without violence, he goes through withdrawals and becomes irritable. Uhh turns out red head didn’t know what sex was. At all. So him and FL read spicy novels together and do the deed. The discover sex gets rid of the blood lust. So FL suffers greatly with daily fun time. Always sore lol. It’s implied at the end she becomes pregnant and they dream of having 3 kids together.

Tysm this made my day! I love that the donor died and his line ended lmao! Not buying that he was clueless cus wdym ignoring even her greetings and never celebrating holidays or birthdays and he "didn't realize" her suffering. Miss me with that!

I will say, I think it's realistic that she fell for another toxic guy even tho she was being cautious since she has no idea what a healthy relationship should be or look like. A lot of FLs suddenly become perfect and has everything go their way with a second chance so this is refreshing. Also hilarious that she will forever have eye bags with her always needing snu snu ML hurhur

I def have mix feelings on the ending! In some ways, it felt rushed and left some plot holes or summarized some plot holes in a very quick way that was like, is that all? At the same time, realistically, that’s how life is. Shit happens and you don’t always get all the answers. And if you’re on the run, extra hard to get those answers.

FL and ML have this long fight because ML is destined to die in war. The price of overusing the relic is for his limbs to literally be torn apart at the joints. That’s how he dies in the original story. FL doesn’t want him to go to war. So he keeps asking her to choose between the kingdom and him and also keeps mentioning his duty as a member of his family of knights to protect the kingdom. Turns out, he just wanted to hear FL say “f*ck the kingdom. You’re more impt to me than these innocent civilians. How gives a sh-t about this lame -ss kingdom.” Paraphrasing. Def mixed signals lol.

Ehhh. You don’t mind if I spoil more right? So no love triangle perse. Like I said before, Duke is psycho and OG novel was NOT a romance. Turns out, he faked being in love with the OG FL to seize the throne and the OG novel ends with him killing the OG FL.
In the current timeline, he is engaged to FL. Yet, keeps meeting the OG FL “secretly.” He tells OG FL that FL is crazy and not a good partner and that he intends to break the engagement but is being emotionally abused and tied down by the FL. He confesses to the OG FL and claims to love her instead if I remember correctly. Or at least it is expressed his goal is to leave the FL and pursue the OG FL. So kind of a love triangle.

The OG FL and FL become close friends because the FL’s original goal was to kill the OG FL as revenge. But she eventually gives up this revenge because she falls in love with the Duke and acknowledges that the OG FL made her decisions in the OG timeline based on manipulation and info she was fed. OG FL approaches FL and informs her of the things the Duke has been telling her. The lies. Deception. At first, FL doesn’t believe her but does confront the Duke.

Duke eventually breaks his character and fesses up to plotting and taking advantage of the FL. He was the one to send assassins to the FL. Not his brother. Anyways, he tells the FL to tell him where the holy artifact is at. He assumes it’s on her and it’s briefly mentioned that he strip searches her and humiliates her. There’s a lot of back and forward with mentally torturing her in his bedroom (her prison) and him getting pure glee out of her misery. He offers to marry her for real if she hands over the artifact blah blah blah. At one point, he thinks to himself, the artifact may be IN her body. They make a deal that if she doesn’t confess the artifacts location within 2 weeks, he will kill her. After killing her, he planned on dissecting her to find the artifact. Anyways, red head comes in and saves the day. It was a pretty brutal but quick demise. Got beat up by the red head and thrown off a cliff. I think I recall that beasts also got to the body? It was hard to recognize the body at the funeral but they were able to confirm it.

It’s really not! Up until the point of the OG FL telling the FL the truth about the Duke, the only indication that he was off was that he got weird and adversity when the FL initiated intimate contact with him- which was rare for her to do anyways. He was more proactive and smooth in initiating intimate contact. What’s really odd is that I think more than half of the novel was dedicated to her relationship with the Duke and seeking revenge, with Karl (red head) appearing randomly as her supportive little puppy/servant. So you would think the Duke was end game. His death was so quick that I was like ??? Is this all? Is it an imposter body? Is he going to be revealed later? Nope. Turned out, Duke was shitty to other people too. Lots of blackmail and illegal shit. So when he died, everyone went after his supporters/employees. So FL got away pretty easily. Looking back tho, there were always hints that the red head was the better choice. Like the fox pelt situation I mentioned before.

EXACTLY!!! I love how the manga/manhwa itself didint emphasize on the looks… like almost every single manhwa i read the mc must be a beauty out of this world. And most of em doesnt have like scars, or blind (maybe i never found one). Like most ml, most of them blind (will be cure late which i dont like), cripple, cant walk, (also will be cure later).

I also love how the ml wasnt there, like annoyingly showing there and there. I like how the fl is the one doing the payback and ml doesnt try or interfere or do it for her.

this one is legit 100% focus on revenge and realistically while doing the revenge you also can be trap by other bad character.

This is great, I wasn’t expecting this ending.

From what I vaguely recall, do not quote me, but the minor laws in korea are very protective of minors. Especially if theyre under the age of 14. I remember reading somewhere that crime is a huge issue with the young due to the minimal consequences they receive. Privacy laws also protect them from societal shame/punishment.

Yeah, I follow the Korean entertainment industry closely. And it's true that if the crime is committed by a minor – no matter how serious the crime is – in most cases, they don't get punished hard.

In my opinion, South Korea's privacy law is so jarring. I understand that if they want to hide the victims' identity but why do they need to hide the identity of the perpetrator?

This is set in Japan, not China. (Samurai was a class only in Japan) and sex was not a hang up for them and people are people when it comes to sex no matter the time period. There were wife swappers and sexually open marriages then and now, etc.

There is a noticeable difference to her physical appearance since the series started. Go back and take a look at her then and now. I much prefer the slow loss, more realistic. But for those that need that quick fix, her dreams show how she will become. So we are getting the best of both worlds at this point.

There actually have been quite a few lately. Can’t think of the names top of my head, but I think the most striking book was one with a knight named Pauline with short red hair. I must say, a lot of people forget that women put on muscle differently than men. Being a female body builder can be more difficult due to the biological differences. Pauline is the most striking character I can think of in a romance genre but I wouldn’t necessarily say she’s realistic at times, unless she has a higher fat to muscle ratio than want is depicted in the comics which would help better disguise the biological differences expected to see in a woman vs a man.

I also don’t understand why heterosexual has to be mentioned? I think it’s important to note that stories try to go for balance in a sense- having a masculine love interest and a feminine love interest. With GL stories, if they aren’t going with the big tits trope, they’re more likely to make one of the females masculine. As for straight romances, typically men are naturally associated with masculinity while women are associated with femininity. Balance is something the majority of writer go far if they aren’t looking hyper sexualizing characters. For GL stories, it’s going to be more common seeing masculine females because you only have too girls to choose from. As for straight romances, majority are going to give the male the masculine attributes. Does that mean there’s straight stories where there isn’t feminine male characters and masculine female characters? Of course not. It just seems rare because there’s so many varieties of straight romances. I can think of another webtoon where the female is a corporate worker in high position and an utter Tom boy. Meanwhile, her love interest is a neighbor guy who loves fashion, is more docile, has feminine interests, etc. Many webtoons and various manga in the Josie and shoutouts genre have more masculine females compared to their love interests. You just have to look for them. Sorry for the rant, just tired of this whole Herero vs Homo debate I keep seeing online. There’s many factors that go into play with these sort of debates and they’re constantly ignored.

Exactly! I hope any young girls reading this do not take it seriously or think this is healthy. Luckily I’m old enough and mature enough to just past it off as a story and not make it an image of “true love” or an actual healthy relationship dynamic. Unfortunately, I’ve already seen comments saying they want this sort of relation. Uh no. Also, let’s not forget that they are merely 16 years old. He won’t be actually turning 18 but rather 17. Maybe my views are skewed because I live in the US, but they are children. This may be a controversial opinion, but if you aren’t of age of consent to be having sex with an adult, you aren’t of age of consent to be having sex with other minors. I’m sorry, but you are so young and naive at 16. Your brain is not fully developed and you having truly experienced the real world. Protect yourself. Why put yourself in a position to be easily emotionally damaged?

That’s fine. I said it was a controversial opinion for a reason. I do think most people’s minds change when they’re older because hindsight is 20/20. It’s a lot easier to have personal bias when you are in the age group. It would be interesting to see if your opinion remains when you are older versus now since I know majority of my friends and even my own opinions have changed just within a few years after graduating high school. I personally like to see things on the side of science rather than personal bias. There’s a reason why there’s an age of consent (which closely relates to brain development and life experiences you don’t encounter until you leave your best known as home and public school except for very rare scenarios that act as outliers) which is what I address in my comment. It’s still r*pe even if the minor gave consent if they had sex with a legal adult. The minor may think they’re mature and may actually be more mature than their peers. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s r*pe. Anyways, I think it’s a worth wild way of looking at things. Just wanted to give you a slightly more in-depth glance of my personal perspective. It’s 100% okay to have different opinions and to let your opinion change or even remain the same as you age. In regards to this story- they are both naive, are evidently very sheltered and toxic to one another, and very sheltered. They are obviously not at the emotionally maturity to give full Informed consent beyond raging hormones that result in impulsive decisions.
