I’m just glad they aren’t making Jaehyuk apologize again, because Garam really was in the wrong this time. Like, for a second there, I was worried they were gonna somehow make Jaehyuk the one at fault or something so I’m glad Garam is the one reaching out this time. Kinda wish there was more regrets + chasing on Garam’s part, like how the previous chapters showed Jaehyuk’s regret + chasing arc, but Garam has gone through a lot himself, and I know Jaehyuk is too green flag now to keep Garam hanging. This is why he’s one of my favorite regretful male leads ;;
Can we just please give appreciation to Jaehyuk’s progress as a character and how he handled this? He just went straight to comforting Garam and asking about his health, before anything else. Like ugh, all that sweetness and even after being hurt by Garam, he still tells him he could never hate him and just reassuring him??? Agghhhh why does this manga have to have me in a chokehold when I was so close to dropping ittt(haha who am I kidding. I’m never dropping this… the sunk cost fallacy won’t let go of me…)

Hii!! I totally agree with you opinions about jaehuyk! He's had some of the greates character development in the entire series and out of most manhwas too!! Started off as a red flad and slowly turned into a total grewn one.
But I just wanna ask, why do you think garam is in the wrong? Do you disagree wirh the arguement itself, or just how he handled the situation? (Im not saying your opinion is wrong or trying to pick a fight, I swear, I just wanna ask and talk about it.)
Cuz in my opinion, totally agree with the fact that he didnt handle the situation as well as he could have, but, in my opinion, if you put his wrong behaviour aside, the points on which he faught with jaehyuk were totally valid and actually quite reasonable.
Again, absolutely LOVE both jaehyuk and garam tho.
Like, I get why garam was upset and stuff, but the way he handled it was completely in the wrong. He ran away when jaehyuk told him they would talk about it later after they calmed down. He didn’t try to even listen to jaehyuk when jaehyuk was telling him that he didn’t care what others thought. And honestly I think the biggest thing I could not forgive was him literally staying silent in the phone for HOURS when jaehyuk asked if he wanted to break up. To the point jawhyuk’s phone died and then HE was the one that got upset, thinking Jaehyuk hung up on him.
Since the beginning of their relationship, Jaehyuk’a main insecurity was whether Garam truly loved him. Their previous fight was even about that. And, although Garam said he would do better, one mishap caused him to spiral and renege on his promise, when he knows that Jaehyuk was really hurt by his lack of affection before.
I get Garam’s past. However, it doesn’t excuse the way he treated Jaehyuk. IMO, he wasn’t really worried about Jaehyuk. Maybe a little, but what he wasn’t really worried about was his own past traumas. He was projecting his trauma onto Jaehyuk, without listening to him at all. What Jaehyuk is most afraid of isn’t others calling him gay, it’s Garam leaving and that’s exactly what Garam did, no matter how much Jaegyuk tried to talk it out with Garam.
They should’ve talked it out, but Garam wasn’t letting that happen. Garam was so caught up in his own feelings and traumas, that he truly wasn’t even thinking about Jaehyuk. Rather than be happy about his partners success, he blew up at him. Rather than be happy his partner loves him enough to give him rings, he throws a tantrum because he felt embarrassed about not being able to give the rings he bought before. Like, every one of his actions is rooted in his own feelings and traumas, without giving an actual thought to how Jaehyuk would feel. And that’s not how a partnership should be.
Honestly, everything stems from Garam’s inability to trust Jaehyuk. Which I get, cause of his trauma. However, just because he has that trauma doesn’t mean he is allowed to get away with that behavior. A relationship has to be built on trust, and if you’re not even willing to TRY to trust your partner, then why are you even in that relationship.
Like, everything about what he did frustrated me. This also made Jaehyuk frustrated but he loved Gsram too much to actually leave. He did do some stupid things, but it was all out of hurt from what Garam did to HIM. He only left when he realized this wasn’t what he wanted and that Garam’s health and safety is more important than his need to be by Garam’s side. LIKE C’MON. THIS IS THE TYPE OF UNSELFISH LOVE GARAM SHOULD LEARN FROM. Thinking about the other person, on spite of your own feelings.
Anyway, I think I make these comments because for a while, people kept bashing Jaehyuk in the comments due to the translator’s notes, which portrayed everything Jaehyuk did in a bad light and made people forget the stupid shit Garam did as well. I really can never forget the phone call. That shit still pissed me off thinking about
