Hi yall!! as someone who was just freaking out like everyone else, who was suprised that their reading and want to read list just disappeared... there are alot of helpful and wonderful people on this site + reddit who gave great advice (will link them)
what i reccomend to do (what ive read so far) is to check your saved tags, someone mentioned that your lists arent gone but just unavailable to be viewed currently... go to your reading list and look for ur tags
some people have suggested using a data scraper but as someone who is paranoid downloading things off the internet, this is a safer and quicker solution.
if you have a laptop/pc select your manga by dragging from top to bottom and right click + print screen and save it/screenshot it into a google doc or just copy in paste it normally, the paste layout is kinda weird but its a fast option if you want to transfer your list and save it somewhere else
sadly your tags arent in the order of your reading list, but it should show the manga you have previously saved (if u added tags to your reading/want to read list)
it will probably take awhile if you have a shit ton of manga saved (like me :,D) , but this is the solution ive decided to do in the mean time while waiting for it to return...

What a great day to not have rated or tagged any of the 300+ books I’ve read
yikes... a majority of my manga (1100+) has been listed 'want to read' Σ( ￣□￣||) been hoping it would just return back to the og listings but its been a few weeks now and nothing has changed RIP!!
tbh i stopped checking the past days/weeks, praying everything would go back... lowkey kinda upsetting cus its in want to read meaning the copious amount of manga that were originally in my reading list dont be giving me notifications TT

Atleast you got your titles back, I waited and waited and then started to add all the titles manually from my memory. I am still nowhere near to what my list used to be but one day my friend I shall persevere

That was actually my biggest mistake, I never used tags except for a dozen or so. Now I gotta use em I guess. I have also seen people making spreadsheets for their list? I am just a lazy bum ╥﹏╥
yess!! def gotta use tags, it made/makes? things easier to find certain genres of manga and etc. yaa i saw people talking abt making spreadsheets too haha im also lazy to do allat XD when my lists were gone i was just screenshotting manga that were saved from my tags into a google doc on my pc but then gave up cus ts taking too long </3 wishing u the best with restoring everything <3 u got this!!

I dont see why they didn't make backups or something before this. Or utilize a database like snap that can make up to 4-5 copies. Im so fcking pissed rn cause there are thousands of yaoi stories and now I have to combine through every one for my dhit back

I'm crying cause someone said the mangago team lost a part of their data and so the titles that doesn't have any tags or aren't rated won't be coming back..
You can't rate 'want to read' titles and i don't usually rate stuff if I haven't read it completely. Not the type to add tags either. So..now they won't ever come back? Someone please tell me it's not true. ╥﹏╥

If u wanna check out how to easily make your reading spreadsheet, just check my profile. I put the steps in my bio. It uses an open source script, so it’s safe. Just need to install a couple of browser extensions/script. I did mine in less than 10 mins (that includes customizing the sheet).

I guess i gotta start building my lists (almost) from the scratch (I used to tag only after reading, so less than half of my saved titles came back...)
I may be one of the lucky ones, since I have a lot of stuff back, but its mixed in the Already Read list, so I dont know if you want to look in those.
Yeah, same. I put mine on public and rated everything that I read. The ones that were rated or tagged came back (in already read for me).
