Well i guess but they still be making blatant homophobic remarks... Be it main character or side ones(like the school students).
People cant get away from saying negative remarks. Even ourself are racist/prejudice toward smthng/someone without knowing and give negative remarks to others. So, dont think too much and enjoy it since its just a manhua. Also, it could be translator's fault for making misunderstanding meanings unless they also said it in novel too.

This is an issue I’ve seen with comics that tend to have Chinese names. Homophobia, sexism, and date rape are all serious issues that are often blatantly put on display like a medal. This one seems less problematic than many I’ve tried to read, but Yeah, it’s still there. I’ve given up on many because the FL always end up passive, whiny, and/or Helpless.
Oh i didn't know china had those issues, I hope their situation improves... I also hate it when a strong Fl just ends up being helpless/needs ml to save her like a " Knight and shining armor " It just seems stupid to if you have an independent fl keep her that way! I love to see strong independent femal/male/ non binary characters!
Well, you cant expect anything from chinese manga since their government known for haters of anything that against their principle/religion statements.
