Honestly I'm so sick of people saying YOI is a yaoi. It isn't. It's a sports anime about ice skating that happens to have a canon gay couple. Even Kubo (the creator) said this: "Stories such as "I want to have a lover" or "I want to get married" are not interesting for me. Heterosexual relationships are already a lot, so I don't want to do something about it anymore. I just want to build a healthy and meaningful relationship where genders are not important."

Mai-chan, please don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it's a yaoi or anything. Those are only my fantasies, just like with any other anime and series. Fujoshis like me fangirl about everything, doesn't matter if it's yaoi or not, like harry potter, sherlock, free, I'd still ask: who's the uke? xD Do You get it? I hope You do :) Even if Yuuri or Victor were perfectly straight and had a girlfriends, wifes, kids, whatever. I'd ship them anyway. Because I'm always like this. No exception. :P

Wow, that's a really unfounded opinion. What one has to do with another. Anime, manga, yaoi, doujinshi, THOSE are FICTION. I think You're confusing reality with FICTION. What I know about homosexual relationships (and I can assure You that I know more than I'd want to), has nothing to do with it. Because yaoi isn't life. Right? You've read enough yaois to know that well. The question was just for fun... Like asking what super powers would You like to have, even if you know that it's impossible to happen in real life. :P

i am not confusing anything, i am only comparing real-life homosexual relationships with the ones represented in yaoi manga. the stories are fictional, but does that mean that gay community should be represented in a completely wrong and insulting way? to start with, sex positions, which are NOT determined by someone's looks or personality'. what they do is create two stereotypes called 'uke' and 'seme', where the uke is labeled as 'girl' and looks super small and cute and the seme is tall and manly. this is probably due to fact that people still have difficulties accepting gay couples as they are, and that is TWO MALES, and therefore create stereotypes, where one of the characters is girly.
This is what i wanted to point out, they are both males in a homosexual relationship, and that is what we should all accept and not try to turn anyone into a 'bride'.
I don't think i was rude to you, but i am sorry i ruined your post. I understand it was for fun, however this is an important matter and i hope you can understand what i am trying to say. We should all stop misrepresenting gay relationships, and try to see them as they really are.

Yup yup. Stereotypes in fiction are one thing, but it's always important to acknowledge them both as male and not put heterosexual gender roles onto gay couples. I don't want to call it homophobic, but it can definitely annoy people, or even be taken as offensive by some.

Personally, I prefer listening to BL drama CDs while reading the comic that goes with it rather than watching a show adaptation. It's because the show gets cut short, and sometimes I just find them more awkward. The quality isn't always that great either. That's just me. The only one that I truly liked was the 2012 version of Ai no Kusabi, which was discontinued. I would only watch them if it's an entirely new series.

As for "Doukyuusei," I think it might be released late next year. That's how it normally goes with Japanese animated movies. I'm a fan of K and of Psycho Pass, and had to wait for at least a year to see their respective movie sequel, either in the movie theatre or on my laptop.

ah, oh, thanks.... I prefer listening to the drama CD too, but it would be nice to just watch something sometimes. It's true that they're always get cut and censored and it's more dissapointing than anything. I liked the 2012 version of Ai no Kusabi too :/ ughdfkjd.... just draw a veil over it.
Do You listen to dramas online or download it?

I actually do both, depending on the circumstances. Sometimes, I'm too lazy to download or can't find it anywhere, so I listen to it online in video form. I like it a lot when the video has the comic in it, and you can listen while you read. Other times, I download it if someone was kind enough to upload it. I tend to download untranslated ones or ones that are not adaptations. I like listening even though I do not understand anything. xD
